  • Cut a coke can in half and weld them together again. Not the thicker metal on the bottom.

  • Does your tungsten have a ball end or a point?

  • Another great video, I will be going to a welding academy in january and watching your tutorials has given me a better understanding about Tig welding that I can use on my training. Thanks for taking the time to pass on your experience to the young bucks, Marry Christmas!

  • AY thats the machine im using at school for stick XD

  • And a merry Christmas to you and yours from Wales, Britain . Thank you for a interesting and instructive video .

  • Excellent

  • I remember hearing somewhere that someone welded 2 foil gum wrappers together with a tig, I was wondering if you could try it to see if that was true.

  • Damn dude your pretty buff! You cant tell through all the welding clothes lol

  • Did you ever hit the duty cycle on dynasty ...20% seams low ,or is just numbers?! just curious.

  • Any rumor if Miller is gonna release new model? It seams that 200DX is quite "old" and one with maybe new electronics design,or more than 20% 200A duty cycle would be nice, but maybe this is not to important. Maxstar 200 has already 40% but is DC only

I intend to buy a Miller Dynasty 200Dx an I wander were is best to buy it

Thanks for the videos!!!,are very good indeed.

  • I like to know what machine i should use for 1/2'' Aluminum.

  • I like to what machine i should use for 1/2'' Aluminum.

  • Jody nice video as always! i have had my everlast 250ex for about a year now and my machine just started to give me problems with hf starting on aluminum. once it gets started its fine but it has really been giving me a hard time lately .it starts up with ease on dc no problem..any help would be great..i cleaned everything real good, and even hooked the ground to the aluminum i was was welding on but it didnt make a difference.

  • i've noticed that the dynasty's arc characteristics were better,

would the power tig compare to the dynasty at higher amps?

    which one should i get?

since the everlast is considerably less,

  • Thank you for the video (and Christmas comments!).

I have a Dynasty 350 which has two more settings on AC Waveshape: EN Amperage and EP Amperage. What would you set these at for the can welding? How about 1/8 AL plate butt weld?

    Thanks.

  • Your vids are great!!!!!! been welding for several years and have been self taught and you are helping me fine tune if you will!! Love the vids, thanks!!

  • Hey there I'm trying to weld thhe middle of the can (cut in 1/2 weld back together) the dynasty goes down to 5 amps but soon as I hit the pedal it blows a hole. Do you have any tips on wlding the middle? The only way I could figere out how to do it was stick a piece of 6061 2.5 tubing inside and weld off the tubing and the edges of the puddle would grab the can

  • hey your videos are awsome i have just started tig welding on steel but i am only 16 and i do it in my spare time i have knnow learnt to stack dimes just wondered would there be a possibility for you to do some tig welding steel videos thanks alot.

  • You are the best source for tig videos I have found period. I am an amateur but your instructive videos have really improved my welding skills. Thx for the effort.

  • I am looking at the 200DX but it does not have pre gas flow. I would go to a bigger machine but then a water cooler is required. How important is that pre gas flow? Your input is much appreciated.

  • @my1956effie

for me, pre flow is not a "must have". I got in the habit of bumping the pedal to get the gas flowing a long time ago. its nice to have in case you forget or for automated applications. but not a deal breaker for me.

  • @my1956effie I have a dynasty 200 and it has pre and post flow.

  • @my1956effie The 200DX does have adjustable pre-flow. I have one and change it from time to time. You need to go into the hidden menu and scroll through that to set pre-flow and many other factors. I love my 200DX - I also have the water cooler (Coolmate I) as well and love the setup.

  • Thanks for all your hard work making these videos and sharing your knowledge Jody, I really appreciate it! I have almost completed my associates in welding, and whenever I hit a particularly difficult part, one of the things I always do is check to see if you have addressed it already (chances are good you have).

Aside from my actual instructors, and just spending a lot of "seat time" you have been a major factor in my success.

  • Another great video. Merry Christmas to you and your family, and a Happy New Year.

  • Great videos! I greatly appreciate your efforts! Peace bro!

  • Merry Christmas.

  • I would like to see it done with a Synchrowave 250. I've done it before but it took 4 attempts.

  • Merry christmas to you too!! Great vids.

  • that everlast machine isn't really "bottom end", in fact it looks awesome and at 1700$ the price is right !

that would be a big step up from my lynde mig from the 70s (wtf is inductance !?)

    merry christmas !!!

  • Merry Christmas! Cool video like always, keep up the good work.

  • Nice video. Merry Christmas to you to and your family.

  • Great vid and tips, now how about a go with some hershey's kisses wrappers! lol

  • Merry Christmas from Canada

    sweet tips

  • Thanks for the tips. Merry Christmas.

  • Thanks for the vids and merry xmas from the Uk

  • Merry Christmas from Germany, thanks for the Vid.

My cheap chinese Tig welder can also weld coke cans together.

  • Great video and thanks for all of your videos! What size tungsten did you use and did you need to adjust the TIG start parameters on the Dynasty 200 in the advance menu? Please reference section 6.2 and 6.3 on page 40 and 41 of the Dynasty 200DX manual. Note: I tried to attach link to the manual, but it would let me. I will email you the link.

Merry Christmas to you and your family!

  • @tlassak I knew I forgot some things....On the Dynasty I used 1/16" tungsten 2% thor...I adjusted the start to the default .040" electrode setup after I popped a hole using the default .063" setup...and I used a sharpened point.

  • Thanks for yet another awesome vid. I allways bounce my chair with happiness when i see you've released a new vid.

  • @zakutoDow2 Had to chuckle a bit about that. It's one of the first things I look for when I check my mail everyday.

Best vids out there no doubt. Merry Christmas

  • my local welding supply loves your videos...also great camera shots...merry christmas too

  • Awesome stuff, would like to see you weld the razorblades now.

Merry Christmas to you and your family.
