  • I'm tired of all these people making Obama look like the bad guy. I wish these people had the same input when BUSH was destroying our country. The man can only do so much at a time. Give him a chance for god sake.

  • BECAUSE HE IS BAD FOR ISRAEL. i do give him chance but only domestically.....i hope he will succeed with his healthcare reform and much needed overhaul of the defense funding......i also support the stimulus plan...but when i see his policy with iran, the so called peacful policy that put emphasis on diplomacy its awful

  • He's already succeeded in enslaving us to China through the national debt.

  • he inherited it from bush... u must probably be a republican...

  • i have 2 do a report on this right now......FML

  • was it completely necessary to say "thank you" and "thank you very much" a thousand times in the beginning. i'm pretty sure one "thank you" after the applause would of done just fine.

  • Obama would make a good used car salesman. He ought to be selling Toyotas.

  • @msmithstud

    You NAILED that one!

  • Yeah, I'm sure Obama could sell lawnmowers to eskimo's, LOL, but he sure as hell can't sell his speeches to the public.

  • @FireTiger941

You got that right. Obama is all talk and we all know his talk is cheap.

  • Most Repulicans dont have your best interest at heart, they just want to shut down everything Obama sponsors. The Republicans sponsored a bill, then Obama said he liked it then they said the dont like it lol..Crazy bastards

  • We all know.... The truth can hurt.... But, it needed to be said... ;) GoBama!!

  • it really happened.. aka The greatest generation coming back home and building up new things, from the experience of WW2. and as well who we got a hold of (scientist, and cue the jeopardy music NASA and new tech that came from that) remember velcro, think about where that came from next time u use it..

  • Look at what u said You really do believe your own Bullsh*t,don't you,......???LOL I do not know why I dignify your naive meanderings, but i'll try. Listen JR.

Most politically astute individuals Know that today's situation in Government is not as simple as...."Oohhh,Bush is the Pres.,and it is under his watch that this all happened so,it must be his fault!!!"

    How Naive,to indulge that!

Alot of what the country goes through is cause of a previous Administration's F*CK UPS!! <-i said the same

  • Mac....actually you tried defending Clinton and insinuating that Republicans are responsible,so ...NO we are not saying the same things!!

You made it abundantly clear that you believe Clinton is some sort of demi-God and I merely pointed out that Clinton is responsible in large part for the Housing bust in 2008.

I also said that Clinton would like to have spent ALOT(like Bush and maybe as much as Obama)But enter the 94 Mid-terms and I reiterate,He Got his ass Kicked and HAD to moderate!

  • not disagreeing with u, but clinton did not get his ass kicked, it would be true tho if he did not get re-elected, but he did so no ass kicking there.. and yes clinton is partly responsible as is bush for the housing fiasco, and (Bush) sub-prime as well since he did encourage it. but Obama is doing the same thing and way faster which i predict politically will be rewarding for him...

  • TheMac5010.....is tickling my funnybone,with his comebacks!!

Your comeback is..."school is in session for me",Boy How original, where did I hear that before????

Your school consists of one idiot(YOU) who has NO political chops TRYING(and failing) to convince people that Clinton had nothing to do with this!!

The Clinton Justice Dept. under Janet"Butch"Reno THREATENED the larger mortgage companies (Fannie and Freddie) who back up smaller bank loans for subprime lending(High risk loans).

  • "One year later the worst of the storm has passed."

Wrong. I can't believe I voted for this guy.

  • Is purple the new black?

  • actually giant if u look at my channel, u would know that i already realize it.. I am of the firm belief that our founding fathers would not like the Fed Reserve, this is why we had the Revolution war, against taxation to a Central bank in england of that time... your the jackass considering the fact u didnt even look at my channel! Think before replying to a comment!

  • Where are your figures? I tried to search them but I only found partisan websites? You seem to be more aware than me!

  • u need to learn to watch News on TV like MSNBC and CNN, and don't you dare say those are the Liberal news channel.. FNC is well no better, and usually never states facts at all.. FNC even tho i dont like it, i watch occasionally, but get frustrated with them when its definitely right wing extreme nuts running it

  • I've seen the Rachel Murdow, oops, Marrow, hem, well I don't remember, anyways I've seen her show, once. If I were American, I'd be on the left side. But when she's talking about party politics, she shows no bipartisanship, that's only GOP bashing. Well, they deserve it, but the Dems do not deserve to lose time on opposing the opposition.

The less you talk about hope, well, the more it fades.

There's another MSNBC pundit, and he's even worse. So I think that's a channel of hatred like FOX.

  • Im sorry but I have to disagree and its Rachel Maddow!! and Keith Olberman. and Chris Matthews.. at least they are objective like CNN as well, and FNC is nowhere close to being objective.... they at least allow republicans speak, unlike FNC ppl interrupting constantly to the dems!

  • @TheMac5010 Argh! When you say 'objective' you remind me of other comments from GOP partisans who said FNC was fair and balanced. Clear that thought away, the dictionary defines objective as "Uninfluenced by emotions or personal prejudices:" A hard issue for TV shows named after the host's name and where they speak min. 30' alone. Perhaps MSNBC's ways are just more subtile. Just have seen study showing 1/6 of RM show are Reps. Same for FNC. It's just a way to increase TV ratings and ads prices.

  • qactully objectivirty on FNC in reality does not exist, that fair and balanced line is a lie, i mean seriously watch o'rielly and glenn and hannity, they are far from being objective, considering ur "Uninfluenced by emotions or personal prejudices.." and that whole 30 min thing in reality also happens on FNC as well.. U just seem to choose to ignore ur own thoughts on that..

  • I never said that FNC was objective. What I've seen is that MSNBC is just its democratic, and thus more educated, more subtile, counterpart. But still a counterpart full of approximations, of smears, of degrading attacks (i.e. against rush limbaugh's body expressions).

On the other side... I think we agree.

  • ok well have u seen Morning Joe on MSNBC? Joe Scarborough is a republican, and was a senator... so I have to disagree with ur thought on MSNBC is totally dem so... this is what i mean by objectivity tho.. having both side talk openly without rude interruptions. so in a way i can see we might agree on some things, but we can also agree to disagree slightly as well. :-)

  • That's it... you don't like that Obama because he is smart, just like you don't like me because I am smart. But as you mentioned and from my analysis, I am smarter than you, so logically I am right and you are wrong. Have a great day.

  • lol ok wiz-kid, enjoy the next 3 years, because the american people are leaving you behind.

  • im enjoying this administration way more cause already the facts speak for themselves, Obama did all the right things with regards to Economy, in the 4th part of 2009, economy got better and jobs are coming back already, this is Dec 2009, yes slowly tho.. so already.. we're improving, slowly and, and as Obama said Dec of 08 it was 6% loss but Dec of 09 6% gain, and now its a proven fact, that its still on the upswing.. but its not gonna bring the 10% unemployment down that quickly,

  • that will take at most a few months if not at least a year or 2 before that goes sharply down!

  • @TheMac5010

    Put down the bong...JR.

The indicators of the economy getting better don't mean SH*T when the Unemployment is at 10% and in a town near me(Van Wert,Oh)it is 13% so peddle your Obama loving Sh*t to people who are oblivious, cause most everyone on here knows politics except YOU!

If you like Obama, you obviously ascribe to all this spending, which is DUMB,cause anyone worth their GED knows you cannot spend your way out of a recession.

  • greed will imprison us all

  • seriously... the facts are Obama did not like the bank bailouts, but in reality had to be done, which the next thing which Obama wants to do with that paid back $ is helping main street.... Giant to anyone who is really educated, your the "MonkeyNuts" ppl like u say Bush is full of SH!T then say the same thing on the opposition...

  • and they never choose sides.. which is in of itself very hypocritical... and another fact Reps always say there fiscally conservative but for the past 40 years in political history its fact that what Reps say is not true... and its the other way around for instance Clintons Surplus... now thats fiscally conservative.. Obama is working towards that, but it always will take time and patience.

  • Why do people go back to 'the dems are better because of Clinton years. or the reps are worse because of Bush.' The government is a business and it should be seen as such. In a business executives are not ranked by what they did or did not do years in the past. They are ranked by whats getting done now. Obama needs to stop pointing back to Clinton and blaming Bush. He had the super majority in the senate and was unable to push his agenda. Now he's saying the reps are stopping progress? Please!!

  • If the government is a business, the #1 goal is wealth production, isn't it? But politics isn't only about economics! Where do you put foreign policy, security, minorities' rights, post-materialist issues like abortion, religion, morality, or less evasive, people trying to dominate others? You can still link'em to the economy, but that'd be a weak link. Politics isn't only about economics.

Also, you call to rank executives by what they're doing now. Well, it also depends of the past...

  • The number one goal IS wealth production. A wealthy nation can defend itself better, provide its citizens with a better opportunity. I'm not sure you understand that. Here's how past accomplishments apply to your evaluation.

You: 'Two years ago I managed to double profits'

Your boss: 'That's nice, but this year your decisions have made the department tank and is out of funds. You're fired.'

    Obama: 'Bush did it'

The people: 'Ok., but you're not showing improvement. In 2012, your fired!'

  • We always run out of space! What I meant is that some decisions depend more or less of the past and it has to be taken into account. BO has been in office for just one year, in the midst of the crisis. This is too short a judgment. It also depends of what you want: if BO were to cut taxes now he wouldn't be able to pass costly acts later, for healthcare, security, debt, etc. I don't see what's the point in cutting taxes now except for populist armchair economics. Can you switch govts every year?

  • @TheMac5010

    School's in session!!!

The ONLY reason that Clinton ended up having a surplus is cause he got his ASS kicked in the midterm elections and the GOP won in droves cause Clinton was trying to push for spending up the wazoo, then Dick Morris came in after the GOP won the congress and PUSHED Clinton back to the center. The GOp congress had more to do with any surplus we had than Clinton and this Joker we have in now makes Clinton and Bush look like spendthrifts!

  • School for u in session, it had nothing to do with rep controlling anything and more with what clinton pushed for and not reps... and let me remind u again, we r now currently in this mess now cause of the 6 years of W. bush with reps in house and senate in total control!!!

  • @TheMac5010

Wow dude, you need to get a lesson in US government.

  • You really do believe your own Bullsh*t,don't you,......???LOL

I do not know why I dignify your naive meanderings, but i'll try.

  • again u say what i say is BS which it isnt if u look at the facts, but then ur own BS points it out anyways... so whos the idiot here!!!?

  • Well Said Obama.

  • Change the unemployed can believe in. What a joke this has turned out to be. The great experiment is flushing the USA down the toilet.

  • Oh and big macho Obama, why won't you ask your Auto industry to pay a fee? Or would that damage your connection to the unions which own you? Did not America spend over 50 billion on this industry and do they not also give out bonuses?

  • What the **** is Obama smoking?? "Get a government that embodies their strength" Has he read anything about American history? The political philosophy of Jefferson, Washington, Franklin?? Even the federalists would never consent to a proactive government !! Strong governments aren't aligned with our culture and they belong elsewhere in the world.

  • What change are the democrats representing? Giving bailouts to labor union controlled auto companies? Cutting a backroom deal for 60 billion dollars with labor unions to try and get health care passed before contention? To use every seem of subversion to keep the American public outside of the healthcare bill? Americans are historically opposed to tyranny, and unlike other civilizations have rebelled against those in power - we do not like being controlled and manipulated. So **** off Obama.

  • Im not worried. He will be gone from office this next time around and someone will do something to actually get us OUT of these problems. Not create more.

  • nevermind, you are french, that explains everything...

  • After watching the first 20 minutes of this non sense, first 15 just staring at Pelosi mostly LMAO, I just couldn't take the empty rhetoric no more. Anyone which is most who r really unaware politically would watch this speech and believe that obama and the dems mean well which in reality it was nothing more than B.S. and alot of empty rhetoric. All i can say is 2010/2012 can't come soon enough and the word of the day is, "Narcissism" Stop believing ur own S*** Mr. President and start listening

  • @longlivetheUSA

Well, right now, it looks like you are listening to yourself too... especially with that username...

It was a good speech because if you listened to the rest of it like I did, you know that he knows what the people want: To counter public belief about whether they should not believe in him purely on what TV says or what your friend heard about him. Taking actions takes time for a 300,000,000people country and rich as yours. And I'm talking about the results, not the decision.

  • The issue is that he no longer represents what the people want. From the elections in Virginia, and New Jersey and the now famous Scott Brown election in Massachusetts - it is clear that even in the more liberal areas the people of the United States don't want his health care plan and frankly want to be independent free thinkers not having government breathe down their neck.

  • What the people want

    1. Jobs

    2. Less taxes

    3. A functioning heath care system

    4. Security - from terrorist foreign and domestic

How hard is that? Do I get the Job?

He is in WAY over his HEAD. He has no idea how to turn this economy around and he has wasted a year blaming BUSH. He has three years left and then OUT.

  • @ub30f

All four points you just mentioned, did he talk about of these is this particular speech? I'm sorry but I have trouble understanding your point as he seems to know exactly what he must do.

I know you guys wanted Bush out, but that doesn't mean you can turn away from every US president from now on. You don't seem to realize how complex the financial situation in the US is right now, especially given the $trillions of gov. debts. Things are bad now because they where too good before.

  • hmmmm, what is obamas plan for the poor. he talks about uplifting the middle class, and taking money from the rich, but he never talks about the poor. you know, the uneducated, low income people. the ones that are too old for college, and dont have the degrees. hes saying hes gonna cut programs, he named the ones that wont get cut, so whats left? foodstamps, section 8 housing, daycare, free medical clinics? who fights for the poor now?

  • @TheWhitesavage the poor 1) already vote for the dems 2) are despised by the rich class, a threat to their own assets "no taxes!" 3) their situation is misunderstood in America... That's why you won't see any politician lingering much on that.

But as for the actions, Obama does things that noone does... his determination on the health care reform 'I will not quit', on creating new jobs, his emphasis on the SCHOOL which is the one way to go up, proves he has a deep knowledge of the poor's plight.

  • when it comes to social security, and things like SSI, other then the retirement social security, things like food stamps and so on will not get cut... and i hate the the type of thinking that poor ppl are considered "Uneducated" Im poor but im definitely self-educated, Poor does not mean uneducated!!!

  • Of course, but my message was all about putting people into categories here and there, which is a bad way to have great clues on how to do politics :) everyone's unique... most poor are stuck where they are because of non-scholar issues, but a good way for poor children to rise socially is this, grades and experience and knowledge of how things work... and kick out for ever that self made man Neocon myth...

  • zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

  • majority of comment are not support what government doing now, so why no one stand up and do something? I think Obama's speech very good, but I don't if he can do it.

  • Washington creates the problems and then wants Americans to want them to come fix them..

    F*ck That.

Washington needs to get out Americans lives, stop shipping off the Mfg jobs to india and china and mexico, stop importing all the poor and illegals, You should be working FOR Americans not trying to RULE over them.

Is it not clear that nobama is full of sh*t?

He had to give the money to the people who got him elected.

They own him just like they owned bush..

  • @giantshadows "He had to give the money to the people who got him elected." This what African dictators do, that's called a "rigged election"! You seem to talk as if he was already thrown out... Now, you're a bit simplistic...

  • They wont be happy until they own and control everything, repub/ dem doesnt matter.

Its who controls both parties and laughs at us for believing the choice we make will change the game.

    It doesnt.

In one year, nobama outspent ALL OTHER PRESIDENTS COMBINED & most of the TRILLIONS we arent allowed to know where it went.

    So wtf

  • @giantshadows You got the figures totally wrong! Obama is investing, the Reps are wasting!

But I know, any attack, as stupid as it can be, is enough for you..

  • Cmon..

    Really..

    he is bush jrjr.

pelosi? really? the best we can do..?

We better get busy getting rid of the oligarchy and get back to The Constitution.

    The weapon is debt.

  • hmm lets take money we've already borrowed, to pay the banks, then when they pay it back, lets give it to someone else who doesn't deserve it instead of paying off the debt we are paying interest on. . .smart plan!

  • Obama will be a hated as much as Bush when this is all over.

  • @MiniHitman AGREED! I'm tired of the Party of No doing everything it can to lie to Americans so they can have another shot and destroying the Middle Class, the Poor, and anyone not able to buy a $1000 plate at a fund-raiser or invite friend to the Yacht for the weekend. Give me a break. If Abraham Lincoln had seen what the Republican Party would become, he would have disbanded the party right then and there! Get off your butts and do something - else, stop complaining and work with us!

  • Abe was racist enough that he thought free blacks should move to Liberia. If Lincoln had his way Obama would never have been born. Don't argue until you learn what Lincoln said about African slaves.

  • obama would have been born because obamas black half is not of slave blood. his black half never made it to america during slavery times.

  • @ 41:00 So, this mess was here when you showed up, didn't you campaign on knowing how to make it better?

Also, you talk about the deficit crisis that existed when you showed up, and your solution is to run up the deficit? During a deficit crisis???

  • @poopstreek An obvious case of not knowing economics. If consumers & corporations refuse to spend, then the only other considerable force that can pull a nation out of recession is the government through government spending. If you knew a little history, you'd see that though the New Deal started to work after a few years during the Depression, Congress turned its back due to elections and all efforts collapsed. That is why it took WWII to finally get us out.Unless you want WW3, this is only way.

  • We have a debt problem. He is not fixing it. He is making it worse. Bush was bad, yes, but Obama reminds me of a kid who stole a cake from the candy store and points at the kid who stole a tootsie-roll. This spending is on a borrowed dime. We can't print our way out of this. We are already deflating the dollar to try to print our way out of this. I don't think you understand economics if you think that more debt can get us out of debt. Do some research on our debt, it is MASSIVE.

  • Spending does NOT ever make a recession or depression BETTER.....The ONLY reason we got out of the Depression is cause of WW2!!

    Not cause of Gov't spending....

.....cue the music for Libtards on Parade!

  • this President is the best and sympathy America ever had in decade. replican Party dont want Americas feature. Party of NO NO to everything

  • Hehe..nope, but if we're doing the guessing game I think I'll win based on your last statement. Could pin you down to about a 1,2mile radius.

  • Pin me down then bud. Pin me down.

  • 1) Why does Wall St. get billions of dollars from millions of small businesses across America?

    2) Joking about throwing our country trillions of dollars into debt to China by comparing it to a dental procedure is tasteless, and elitist.

    3) I am sure Obama has the big bank executives really shaking in their boots... HA!

    4) I LOVE when the crowd burst into cheers and Nanci Pelosi stands up because his TELEPROMPTER STOPPED!!! That is an instant classic!!!

This man is such a tool...

  • haha. I'm not american, but from watching your politics for a few years now I have to say, the republicans are such cry babies. Just whining and stumping around no solutions to anything that can be taken seriously. Please get back to reality and if you have complaints about something, please present your alternative. At the moment I see a weak left and no right just whining.

  • @fjoo

you must've been one of the countless people worldwide who were shouting for joy when obama won just because he wasn't bush. so were a lot of people in my country. and now a lot of those people don't like the direction obama is leading our country in. a lot of those people are realizing that obama is nothing but an image. that's the political REALITY of my country. at the moment i am replying to a british moron who doesn't know what he speaks of. speak from your mouth, not your arse.

  • hehe.. you're the second one today who thinks he knows me based on a comment, and you're wrong on both accounts. - Your politics creates a ripple effect throughout the world, so most of us do pay attention and have access to all the information you have. That statement you just made by the way doesn't mean anything, just jibberish. He isn't leading your country in any direction actually, which is the problem, stuck in a ditch.

  • hehe, ditto on you being someone who thinks he knows me based on my comment. and of course my statement is just jibberish. how delightfully british of you to use a term that is both condenscending yet jolly.

  • As I said, I'm not british. People over here complain that I speak american, so guess I'm in limbo then. - I don't know anything about or said anything about you, only commented on what you wrote and on a political party, don't know what side of it you take. Cheers! (sorry, I mean Yippee ki-yay, motherf***r!)

  • Thumbs up To the hooligan-

    From Texas-

  • @fjoo You said it. If they did their jobs and followed their actual philosophy, they might actually make a considerable difference for the better in America. After all, an empire can't go around stomping the little guy for long. Sooner or later, he'll get a whole group of little guys to take down the bully. Republican policies stink when they are led by Neo-Cons and big business. Get your acts together and do something positive for America!

  • Obama has broken so many of his promises. He promised the healthcare debates would be aired on CSPAN. That has not happened. He promised that jobs would be created. Government jobs have been created. Small business is getting taken down. He promised to get us out of Iraq and Afghanistan. He's increased the number of troops in Afghanistan. Where's the uproar about that? Why aren't people protesting that like they did when Bush was in office? I smell hypocrisy.

  • On that note, america, please sort out your clapping! - You're shows and entertainment etc. is great, but there are too much clapping going on, and this speech takes it way over the top making it just silly.

  • We let Bush fuck up the country for 8 years with his I dont care attitude. I wish Obama would take that approach and do it his way and get back to where we should be in the world....FIRST

  • I love having a president that can actually SPEAK.

  • amazing speech.

    what an inspiring leader.

  • This speech was a mess. He was all over the place. For the first time I see a president do so much finger pointing on a state of the union address. It's time for Obama to take full responsibility for his lack of leadership. People say that Cheney lead the county during Bush's years. Well, it seems like Pelosi and Barney Frank are having a field day running their agenda during Obama's admininstration. Mr. President, grab you jewels and stand up to your own party.

  • @Juankar1os "NO WONDER THERE IS SO MUCH CYNICISM"

  • i agree with you...but i would rather him than mccain...and espescially palin.

  • and my favorite, the health care reform....he wants to put the medical bill of the sickest developed nation in teh world on an already broke gov't

    pure genious

  • how about signing an EO ending the fed and putting the monetary system back into the congresses hands like it is supposed to be and not crooks like bernenke and giethner

  • Say what ever you want, but he is smart and focused... USA couldn't have better president in these times.

  • HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • honestly, im just gonna bluntly say, i cant stand this speech. hes promising SO much. i doubt anything will every happen. hes taking on more than he can handle

  • how's that change going???? same o same o. or much more

  • how's that change going?????????

  • the more things change the more they stay the same

  • No matter who you are, YOU FELT THIS!!! Forget about politics, this is on a universal scale. The whole world was watching and President Obama delivered our iteniary...what AMERICAN is not going to do their part?? Seriously. No matter your situation, ethnic background, political legacy, goals, aspirations...this is the way, the light, the future. President Barack Obama is our leader and our guide, NATURE sent us an oracle to guide us to our safety. We will survive if we heed the call... MEEZ

  • a moment of clarity

  • Thanks for the upload. Missed it earlier and I just skimmed through it to see what the Pres. addresses. Sorta surprised that he covered the environment. Well let's see how fast this job bill takes. Here's hoping the Demo's and Repub's agree to something soon.

  • I find it difficult to believe a word he says, i've heard it all before. I would welcome someone shouting "you lie!!!" this time round.

  • In my mind a 1.5 trillion dollar anual deficit is effectively as good as a government defaulting on its payments. Obama has lost none of his ability as an orator - however it remains to be seen if america will recover. I believe americans will have to adjust to a significantly lower standart of living. And that in itselfcould cause serious problems.

  • boy.... there is so much unity in that audience...if each of the parties had weapons they'd start shooting and slashing each other!

  • OBAMA 4 A SECOND YEAR!

  • stop clapping ! lol

  • I love this man....this leader...

  • enjoy it while you can. He'll be gone in 2012.

  • @douker LOL, what, you are going to run GOP party leader Rush Limbaugh? Or better yet Palin?? Haha

  • then what... Palin???

  • Yay words! Who cares about what the actions are when you can have pretty words. Proles.

  • Thanks

  • thanks for prompt upload!
