It's not democratic, just because it's called the Islamic Republic of Iran it does not mean it works like a republic or a democracy. A couple examples of misleading names: North Korea, which is obviously not democratic, calls itself the "Democratic People's Republic of North Korea". A second is china which calls itself the "People's Republic of China". It's pointless to put sanctions on them because it makes the UN and rest of the world look weak to Iran, where as aggressive action would not.

However, there were several other death camps where people were also mass exterminated, such as Belzec, Sobibor, Treblinka, Majdanek, etc.. which all adds up.
The Jews lived in what is now Palestine in Biblical times - why would they not have a claim to some of that land?
