i know arcades do exist in the uk, mainly in holiday/amusement parks like on the coast or adventure parks like alton towers but not on the same scale or popularity as they used to be.
arcades like this are a thing of the past here in the uk, i loved going places like this to see the big arcade titles and hopped for the home conversions, now the home consoles have rivaled the arcade machines in terms of graphics there is no need to travel to the arcades which to me is a great shame, why did console tech develop so quickly i miss going to the arcade.

damn you guys are lucky, my local has a couple busted of naomi uni cabs running virtua fighter and virtua tennis, an ancient elctrocoin neogeo, import initial D and time crisis (bit of a suprise) some other racing thing i think, a lame repro multi-game emulator machine and the rest is like 100 fruit machines and other gambling crap.
