The sound-to-image sync on your Test #1 video was very good, no doubt because you shot it at 720. However it's way off in your Answers #1 vid, because I'm guessing you went for 1080 when you shot that one.

If Sony would of just added a small ridge that surrounds the mic element and a very cheap wind screen, it would drastically reduce the wind noise problem.
I have used Movie Maker in the past and found it could only edit certain files. That's why I edit with other programs such as Sony Vegas 8 and Magix Movie Edit Pro 15. For some reason with Vegas 8 it had problems with Motion JPEG files but they fixed the problem in Vegas 9.
Now instead of spending $90 on Sony Vegas 9 Platinum to edit HD Files they have a cheaper version for $40 called Movie Studio HD that can edit HD files.
True, I use windows movie maker, it is simple to use software, but for some of the youtube videos it works well, I did use pinnacle studio 10, bad move on my part, nothing but problems.....
to those of you who will be using FCP but do not have a file converter, don't worry. you can import mp4 files into FCP and make your edits, you'll just need to render the video once you cut it into your timeline.

get the webbie, i now own both. The flip is good and easy to use but it has terrible screen capture width, sound, and stability. I just got the webbie and its awesome

Has Sony fixed the 1080p problem. What if you do not zoom and turn of the image stabilization is there still a problem with 1080p? Also how long does the battery last? Thanks! 5 star rating!
Thanks a lot. On a Mac you shouldn't have any problems actually. The video settings I used for this were 720p for the quality nothing special other than that really in this case.
The reason is because the 1080 on this camera is 1440x1080, not full HD 1920x1080. This format has rectangular pixels, not square like 720p and 1080p. That's why stabilization on that format is worse. Anywho, I might get this camera, but there is also a $169 version that is a vertical camcorder. Does everything the same. Why is it lower? What is the difference?
the mp4's piss me off. lol.. at first i converted it.. took a little while then i noice that the quality dropped drasticly...took me forever.. but i found a perfect codec.. so now im in the green lol..
