I saw Rory Gallagher at the Agora in 1978, and Ted McKenna from The Sensational Alex Harvey Band was playing drums. I'll never forget it. We picked our faces up at the door on the way out.
@eraffel LOL...I was there too...Ted had recently started playing on the road with Rory at that time...my face may STILL be there at 18th and Payne....lol...
I was at this show...when Kiss came out we went downstairs to the bar. That was the night the Kiss drummer almost died for smoke inhalation. His drum set was on a riser and the ceiling was too low. Rory was incredible!

boy, this is so cool. Clevekand a great music town, (I'm a buffalian), but I always loved Cleveland. And Gallagher played this fantastic Blues tune in your Town? How licky Cleve residents have been over the years.
I remember this show even though I did not attend. I was in ninth grade & my buddy's brother who was a musician went to it. He was not amused that Gene Simmons spit fake blood & got some in his drink.
I can totaly believe he smoked kiss.Ive never even heard any o f rory's music tell today.I don't know how I missed it. I had heard of him. but never gave him a listen.I was in grade school when kiss was in their hay day.even at 10 yrs old they seemed more like a circus act then a rock band.I was really into areosmith at the time and thought they made kiss sound like kids in a garage band.70's areosmith was good enough to do that.havent really liked an album of theirs since draw the line
AWSOME better verion that I have on the ol LP Rory Live In Chicago April 74 - and yes Kiss was the opener then left for Detroit and the rest is history
I JUST WANT A LITTLE BIT!!!...I haven`t had that much religion in me since Rory wanted to be my catfish! Thanks for sharing this lesser known track of his cb3961...he certainly deserves the most from us!
I like the Deep Purple part, I think he should have played the 'Lazy' riff though!

This comment has received too many negative votes show
KISS vs Rory is the same as Dubya Bush versus Barack Obama; clueless establishment clowns versus a Man among boys

please keep those dirty politicians off Rory Vids. Both jerks anyway.
