2001 GP1200R

I have a 2001 GP1200R, I would like to make mine run this good off the line, but that exhaust sounds a little too loud for where I ride next to a ton of private homes. Will the modded carbs alone make it run nearly as good or is the loud exhaust required?

@mgm5m Modded carbs will def help a ton along with K&N flame arrestors, you dont have to have the riva free flow exhaust, but it does help a bit with the bottom end, and yes it is much louder than stock. While im riding on it I cant hear someone talk if they are riding with me, dont know what it sounds like along shore.

@mgm5m also, its running even better now than in the video, i had a warped fuel flap in the tank which was restricting some fuel, so its removed now and runs perfect!

yo do two strokes like this need to be rebuilt liek 2 stroke dirtbikes?

@961995h they will need rebuilt but not nearly as often as a motocross bike

Yes stock they all do, but this one has been removed and dplate installed
