  • life is what you make it

    it is all true

    Pozdrav iz Srbije ;)

  • KC is so hot!

  • REO NEVER MADE TOO MUCH OF ANYTHING BUT LOVE BALLADS.BUT AT LEAST THE MADE A FEW GOOD TUNES.THOSE ARE THE ONES I LISTEN TO.

  • wow - this is just ...awful ...

  • Hey, if you don't think REO still rocks, come to a show NOW. I'm the drum tech and I get to watch this band kick butt every night. If they were still living like they were in the Richrath days, they'd all probably be where Richrath is. . . out of sight and out of mind. But they didn't, they cleaned up, sobered up, and got healthier than I've ever been. The NEW guys have been there 22 years guys. Let Richrath (GREAT guitarist) be where he chose to go but don't blame the band.

  • @NSMDjohn Thanks for the invite NSMDjohn, but no thanks. 25 years ago I'd drive 200 mi. to a show. Now you couldn't drag me cross the street to see them - THOSE WERE THE DAYS - If REO is still so great, why aren't they selling out mammoth stadiums & producing top 40 megahits like they did during the Richrath years? COME ON CRONIN! 20 yrs is long enough! CALL Gary & MAKE AMENDS!!!

  • REO Died when Richrath left!!!! Does anyone know what Richrath is doing these days? Its like he fell off the planet!

  • Thanks ExDemocrat64. I've heard it would be a cold day in Green Bay before Gary would rejoin the band. Whether that is by Kevin's decree or Gary's good sense I'm not sure. Maybe he just doesn't want to play sissy love songs and pretend they're Rock and Roll.

  • The only thing REO has put out in 20 years is sappy ballads and love songs. Come on Kevin. It's called Rock and Roll. Call Gary and get some attitude back in the music.

I bought my first REO album in 1974 and wore out a dozen Live and Decade albums over the years. Step it up or lose a long time fan.

  • @mikegray0422 Don't know if you heard but Cronin has already refused to let Gary back in the band, so get used to another 20 years of sissy love songs & ballads.

  • @mikegray0422 i dont think one fan would be a big deal... especially an asshole like yourself

  • @fucia11 I always wanted to see what a real live troll looks like so i checked out your channel.

A Justin Bieber clone with too much time on his hands. That's pretty much what I figured.

    Go do your homework.

  • @mikegray0422 gee that makes a lot of sense!! maybe you should grow a pair and then come back and talk to me! Sorry gary fucked himself over... nobodies fault but his... i am in a band that tours the midwest and if i had an asshole like gary in the band id can him too.. is he a great guitar player? Hell yeah he is.. but from the business end he was a fuck up who was going to bring the band down. He got too cocky plain and simple.

  • @fucia11 So you're upset because I said to "call Gary"? Dave Amato has done an excellent job at lead guitar for 20 years and I don't 't take anything away from him. The point you're missing is that REO has become a love ballad band. If I want love ballads, I've got an Air Supply album buried in the garage somewhere. Enough with the love songs. I'll be happy to argue with you further but let's put it in a personal message so nobody else has to read your vulgarity.

  • @mikegray0422 RIGHT ON MIKE!!! That fucia11 needs to stop playing with his sister's barbie dolls & listening to sappy ballads. Good point bout the vulgarity, I expect I'll be next. BTW, REO" lost " this long time fan the day I found out Cronin kicked Gary out.

  • @mikegray0422 I have to agree with you as far as ballads go, but even if they never make another song again, I'll always be a fan.

  • this is so FAKE!!! REO drags without Gary Richrath. Not 1 top 40 hit since Richrath's departure, the new music doesn't sell, and they can't fill arena's in small towns. This speedwagon is a wreck!

  • REO is a bloody JOKE without Gary Richrath & this sorry piece prooves it!!!

  • I never heard this song before seeing this video. Pretty good song. Doesn't really have the classic REO sound from the 70's/80's, but I like it. Not sure what's up with the 2nd keyboardist...anyway, it's too bad they couldn't have had a little more fun with this video. They look so stiff, they should loosen up (wink). REO = great American band.

  • That IS Bryan Hitt on drums, Dave Amato on lead guitar and Jesse Harms on the other keyboards. Check out Dave's double neck white Jackson guitar in the background, it was a birthday present from his wife Trish Amato.

  • dont got a single clue what you people are talking about. i just like there music

  • I dont think thats hitt drumming

  • GARY = AMAZING

  • This song is so happy! LIVE IT UP!

  • But what happen to bryan hitt

and dave amato they are working

    to another band?

  • 2.08 best bit of the video

  • The "Little Rascals" theme before the video started reminded me of an REO Speedwagon song I heard in the late '70s or early '80s with a sample of Spanky and Alfalfa talking about the "He-Man Womanhaters Club" before the song started. Does anyone know what song that was?

  • tough guys

  • "Tough Guys" from Hi Infidelity. 1981

  • Hi infidelity - 1980

  • "Tough Guys" from Hi Infidelity. 1981

  • it was called 'tough guys' and it was on their 1980 album Hi Infidelity...love that song!

  • I kind of like this song better than I did when I first heard it. I guess it's because my expectations are lower. To anyone who thinks this song is really the pits they should hear a Crosby Stills & Nash song called "Live It Up" that came out at roughly the same time. Now THAT was a terrible song.

  • I always thought this song kicked ass!

  • If i download on tube tilla. I going to like this rock n roll. But can you tell me who left the band of the group reo speedwragon?

  • gary richrath-guitar 1989

    replaced by dave amato

    alan gratzer-drms 1988

    replaced by bryan hitt

  • this song is very nice. I like much. me gusta que jode.

  • REO Speedwagon has given me good memories on many fronts. But not on this one.

Excuse me, but I'm searching for Mental as Anything's 'Live it up'.

Sorry for the change of pace.

  • reminds me of Richard Marx...

  • God those haircuts are awful.

  • @ubermarklar I BELIEVE THEY CALL THOSE,HAIR DO,NT'S.

  • @61TUNER So why are you looking at this video then if you think that?

  • @61TUNER FOR THE SAME REASON YOU TROLL?

  • cronin with a mullet...wonderful!! NOT !!!

  • Neil is the only one from the first album...

  • Yeah he is. Cronin joined on the second album, Bruce Hall (bass) joined for "You can tune a piano..." and Jesse (keys), Brian (drums), and Dave (lead guitar) were brand new by this time.

  • Also in teh background you can see a white double neck Jackson. This was a birthday present given to Dave Amato from his wife. Kevin is playing a Music Man guitar. You can see near the end that he's broken the top E string! The Marshall amps behind KC were props as KC used VOX AC 30s on stage live at the time.

  • The 2nd keyboard player is Jesse Harms (singer/songwriter) who joined REO for "The Earth..." album which was released in 1990. He toured only once then left the band late '90. He wrote this song (along with a couple more off The Earth album.) It is NOT Gary and Tommy Shaw is not in this video, you guys need glasses!!

It was released as a single along with other singles from the album; Love is a Rock and All Heaven Broke Loose. Love is a Rock was the highest charting single from the album.

  • WHOLA- never heard this one ... yeah man i can relate to it

  • Gary Richrath is playing keys at the beginning and I could see him plainly at 3:27.

  • thats NOT gary....I wish it was, I miss that dude and his guitar!!

  • HAHAHAHA! You moron! That's Jesse Harms!

  • OMG,OMG,OMG, Jesse Harms looks just like a young Gary Richrath at 3:27....What a retard he is!

  • Did I see Tommy Shaw in there????

  • That's actually Dave Amato, the gtrist who had just joined REO @ that time

  • wow,, not one single original player from their first album.

sounds NOTHING like the real REO SPEEDWAGON

( sounds similar to KISS's Lick it Up which wasn't that good,, but at least it was original )

  • Another awesome some by a truely talented band. Can't understand why this song wasn't one of their mega hits. It deserves to be. Very catchy and infectious beat and melody. New guitarist Dave Amato can definitly play, but I still miss Gary Richrath.

  • first time i herd the 90s stuff kool but i still like 70s n 80s stuff better =D they played a new song off there new album last year it was awsome it was mostly there hits they played when i saw em lol

  • Great battle cry. One of the most optimistic songs of all time. Telling us to never give up the dream that we are trying to achieve. Live it up, cuz were only here once.

  • I agree.

  • wow , cute natural american babe... they did`t have to import girls back then

  • i allways thought reo speedwagon were shite but i think i was wrong, this song is DAMN COOL!

  • this is shit REO Speedwagon, there early stuff is much better, though this song is very catchy

  • Hey kingzep, I think the song is 157 Riverside Avenue

  • REO SPEEDWAGON FOREVER

  • I think this is a good song! I'm not too familiar with this album, but I have to say that this is fun song to listen to.

  • does any one know the name of that one live song they sing where they singer is singing and the guitar player is trying to play what he is singing i cant think of the name and i love that song

  • The Earth, A Small Man~is a great album. Very underrated.

  • When did Kenny G. join REO Speedwagon...oh I'm sorry, it's just Kevin...LOL

  • The WAGON still rules!!

  • I can hardly believe what I'm seeing. That's just ridiculously bad.

I used to like this group back in the '70s, but thought they kind of sucked when they turned to doing mostly power ballads in the '80s. I never heard the '90s REO and now I know why. This is like I'm watching some sort of practical joke.

  • @dbraun2001 they crapped out in the mid-80s.

  • It looks like they were pressured to do this, or be let go.. I mean if you consider their previous work, like "one lonely night", "I don't wanna know" and such, there was some really deep moral messages in their songs.. This one is telling you to live it up.. I've never heard them use this kind of writing in a song, sounds made up..

  • I like the song myself. I consider myself somewhat of a BIG REO fan. I know, and like most of the hits, and I am trying to hear more of the albums cuts (those seem to be more rockin than the hits in the later years).

  • Hated them then, hate them now.

  • I don't see why this is a bad song... I think it's quite nice. It has a catchy beat, sounds rock n roll, like they are/were.. And it makes me feel good... And what's so bad about a band that changes clothes for once? Hard rock outfits look good on them..

  • I am a big REO fan but this song SUCKS BIG TIME!

  • To quote Bevis: "This sucks. huh-huh. Show us more of the chicks and less of the band."

  • What's up with the mullet? How could anyone who owns a mirror do that to themselves?

  • They are still great, even "if" they aint together

  • WOW what happen to this band???

  • I'm shocked at the Hard Rock image these guys tried to potray, it almost works. I guess the early 90's were all about that....IMAGE.

  • Dave is about the only one who comes remotely close to hard rock. He could pull it off but definitely not with REO. LOL

  • who's dave?

  • The guy playing the white guitar.

  • Dave's not here man!

  • i never said he was

  • You don't get it, do you? What I said was a quote from the Dave sketch by Cheech and Chong.

  • @AtariMan76 TOMMY CHONG WAS A WASTE HEAD,EVEN IN REAL LIFE.
