For those who have the heartbreaking need to euthanize their beloved pet, I would recommend a home visit. Yes, it's more expensive, but your pet will be in a loving, familiar environment instead of a scary and busy vet office. You can stuff him with the foods you never let him have - ice cream, Big Mac, even chocolate! while he lounges on that forbidden sofa. When the vet leaves with the remains, you can totally break down without worrying about driving home. Best of a bad situation.
*sniff* You're lucky to have pics and vids of your dog; love the wrestling on the bed where the guy hits his hand on the dog's teeth! Happened to me so many times... My lab/husky Chip died last year at 16 and since winter began, I really miss walking and playing with him during snow storms and blizzards (we've had a couple of those already in Mtl). It's so quiet and still with nobody venturing outside, I felt we were the only ones left on the Earth... *sigh*
OMG, this is so sad. I am so sorry for your loss. I hope you can try to overcome this terrible loss. I have a 5 year old Rottie named Bosco and I dont know what I would ever do if I lost him. RIP Abbe. Know that you were and still truly loved xoxo
This same happened to my 2½ years oldcavalier king charles spaniel. If you already haven't done, you should buy a new puppy, probably the same breed than Abbe was. It sometimes helps... But as it's said: "There's no sorrow without love.". So you really had to care about Abbe. I really liked the video, especially the 2nd picture! Abbe was really cute dog! 5 stars.
i rec ently lost my 9 yr old rotty to cancer ,and have read of the "Rainbow Bridge" and they say it is always sunny and warm there , i see by your video that Abbe loved the snow as much as my Nelson did ,so i hope that every now and again they would get snow just for all the wonderfull rotties waiting there for us
My boy was about 5 when I could no longer keep him. I miss him dearly, and I cried through the whole video. I miss him, he was the best dog I have ever had. He was silly, easygoing, loyal, and very affectionate. Thank you for sharing.
god how this video has made me cry reminds so of my girl who went to be a angel 2mths ago she was also a rotty you have made a lovely tribute to your girl they leave such a empty hole in your heart my son has put 1 you tube type in the search bar rip skye and you will find it if youd like to take alook run and play pain free in heaven beautiful girls xx
Absolutely gorgeous, a gentle giant, RIP Abbe.

Lovely video!
When I lost my 16-year-old Westie ( Katie) I missed her so much that I got 4 other Westies to take my mind off it.
That was within 2 weeks of losing Katie in 2005. Best decision I ever made as I now have 2 Boys and 2 Girls who are 12,8,7 and 7.
If you get another Rotty you will still have all your wonderful memories of Abbe but as a really good owner you will give a great home to another dog!

My Siberian Husky recently died from the same disease, it is brutal. Really liked your video, a great tribute.

I'm very sorry about Abbe. Your tribute to Abbe is beautiful.
My Miniature Schnauzer also died from IMHA, on July 9, 2007. It's a horrible disease.
