@TheChristChris You could have four players on this! At Christmas I used to take my amiga to my friends and an extra tv. He had one too. Then link the computers together, and you have four player chaos. Online gaming wasnt around back then lol

I loved playing with my friend in split-screen two-player mode! Nowadays you would have to bring your laptop or play over the internet. But nothing beats sitting next to each other with 2 joysticks, eating peanuts and racing against each other! :-D

I just played Lotus 1, 2 and 3 and I think this is the best version. The music might be a bit better in Lotus 2, so is the frame rate. The improved graphics and AI makes it slower but I think the much more improved setup options and levels makes up to it. Only level I don't like is the futuristic with lasers guns and turbo zone, feels weird.

Mentioned this in another video as well but I'm not sure all the emulators are playing the music quite the same way. There seems to be other audible difference than just the obvious stereo->mono difference. If you have high end headphones and would like to hear a better sounding clip (couldn't find the full music in good quality unfortunately) check out vide nTz5iwmtkrs - it starts at 1:19 in that video. Much smoother and less hiss and artifacts. == more pleasant sound that you want to listen!

Great video, the dreaded mountain level I hated it. I swear in the manual it said there was no fuel stop on the mountain level too!

wow this game is just awesome, but i've downloaded from multiple different sites but the just keeps crashing at the same race everytime. on the map with the Turbo Zone it crashes after about 1min... anyone got a game that works? i tried to dl for the DOSBox but God i get so angry when they upload Lotus 1 under the name of Lotus 3.

ye i have been using that one mostly but it keeps crashing randomly (when it crashes on Turbo Zone i'm playing easy championship and it crashes exactly the same every time) because i tried playing hard and medium and luckily i can play some more but it crashes there too.. speaking of the Amiga, which settings do you use to have it run as fast as possible but also as compatible as possible?

There is no Lotus 1 or 2 on the PC. Only Lotus Ultimate Challenge (which is Lotus3 conversion)

oh i did not know that, thx man. it's pretty funny though, when you look at the pc version picking the best of the lotus games for their pc platform and essentially making it worse than the first lotus game for amiga. i had no idea the amiga was this powerful.

If you have the correct input plugin for winamp to play mod files you can set the output to disc writer and it will create a .wav

Amiga always did have the best games library, music/sound and the graphics/speed were good. Considering the Amiga500 was 4 or so years old when the megadrive and snes came along with better graphics and processing speed, the A500 really did own the 16bit era.
