As the search wore on, Coast Guard rescue coordinators enlisted help from the Navy. The Navy searched with a Navy Fixed wing P-3 orion aircraft and several helicopters last night and tonight. The Navy P-3 from Naval Air Station Jacksonville located the fishermen's life raft 70-miles east of the mouth of the St. Johns River. A Coast Guard helicopter arrived on scene and hoisted the men to safety.

yea i was on the shrike when we got called out there, i remember it clearly there were heli's all night i remember seeing the c-130 hercules from airstation clearwater fly over us a couple of times. we were hitting 5-8 ft seas for 17 hours looking for them i remember at one point around 5-7 pm we were 300 yrds away from them.
