  • Ummm this works fine but now I can't enter a few of my favorite websites. How do I deactivate it ?

  • @gabe12303 Such as Macdefender and Mackeeper? Well, Apple is patching those... so caution should be enough :)

  • how come i cant get my protect my mac to turn on?

  • my protect my mac is off :(

  • macs rarely get viruses if you actually get one on a mac you must really fail at life

  • how do you check your mac for a virus????

  • did you know you had a mic? it's inside your mac, fucking use it

  • can this work with other programs like clamxav? is there avd anti virus for mac?

  • this program ONLY works with intel based macs.

that means if you don't have an intel based mac, it WON'T work.

  • Can it scan for trojans and keylockers ect?

  • bggggggg

  • is there an antivirus for mac os x 10.3.9??

  • @tjskaterkid1 doubt it since it only works with intel macs.

  • Wat, if u have no virus on mac, how are there antiviruses? Am so confused. You know that many antivirus companies make viruses too?

  • @leandro5455 there is a small chance a mac will actually get infected with a virus, trojan, etc. most companies make them to see if their antivirus will work.

  • have you ever caught any viruses yet?

    cool song btw (:

  • my mac is becoming slow..what should i do?

  • Anti-virus for a Mac is useless. There are no known viruses for Macs out in the wild. I had Virus Barrier X5 on my Mac for three years, and it as pretty much useless. From my experience, I don't suggest that anyone with a Mac install anti-virus.

  • thanks for taking the trouble of showing us this. cheers

  • are you scared to talk? I can hear you typing and the music isnt edited in so you do have a mic.

  • i can't download this IAntivirus you know why?

  • @LilBaby1366 heyy:) well put it this way 99.9% of all viruses are made towards Windows os, but that does not mean people are going to start attacking Mac osx users, so having an antivirus on your mac is a must,

  • @oscarmtx there is no "virus" for macs yet. There are however trojans

  • @oscarmtx Mac OS X is based on UNIX and UNIX is more secure then Windows so even if they did make viruses it would be pretty hard to get in.. Also Snow Leopard has built in Malware Protection

  • @LilBaby1366 they get a few but not at all like windows. i dont think they sell them at best buy. i am 99% sure they dont u have to get from apple website or apple store

  • need help

  • @Missionary136 with what part? please be specific

  • @oscarmtx does this download still work?, cause when I go to the apple site..I dont see the download tab like in your video.

  • @neighbouroftheforest You can still find the app by running a search for iantivirus(dot)com, :)

  • need help

  • what is the best anti-virus out their, free or buy one.

  • @Missionary136 this is the best Free one out there, if you would like to purchse a similar one try Intego Virus Barrier

  • @oscarmtx your pc is on mac os?or this is just virtual machine!?

  • hmm i'm stuck in between virusbarrier x5 and antivirus. can't decide which one i like the most. xD

  • how did you make a circle when you click

  • thx alot

    1!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • cool,thanks

  • they never said macs dont get viruses... they said pcs get a lot of viruses...

  • its better to install it

  • "Macs don't get viruses," said by that guy in that Mac commercial...

Then why is there an Anti-Virus protector on Macs?

when you compare which computer will get more viruses, you compare the people who use the computers...

people who ussually get virues on PC get it from fake downloads, or pop-ups from untrustable sites....

the same thing can happen with mac users...

people who know how to avoid these waste-of-time websites avoid viruses...

  • Its because so little of a percentage of people use macs, so when targeting computers for viruses, you want the biggest range of computer to affect. Most virus writers are also only familiar IBM platform and Microsoft Windows, those viruses wouldn't have any effect on a mac.

    point short.

    both can get viruses,

chances are little to zero your ever going to get one on a mac.

on a pc, wait a week, run AVG and lets see how many you got...

  • ive had my pc's for about 10 years now, only had 4 viruses in total, and all 4 were from downloading sites...

I use symantec(norton) and AVG... I run scans monthly on both my Desktop and Laptop.

its how you use the computer... Viruses don't come randomly, they come when you visit "dangerous" websites, or if you have pop-up blockers off...

  • they ment "macs dont get viruses" because pc was the main target ATM but now they are going after mac because of the hacking flaw

  • No, he said "Macs don't PC viruses"....There are mac viruses but they are extremely rare and Apple has made patches for them. (or patches for ones that you would get from doing legal things) And yes I couldn't agree with you more, don't click the pop ups, don't go to notoriously bad websites, and don't download porn....=D

  • Macs dont really have viruses, but Apple themselves say no OS is 100% immune, so you need antivirus software for the "added security", hence, the ADDED word in that statement. When I get my Macbook I'll gladly install this free antivirus and feel safer :)

  • i dont c an insect thing i see a shield for my anti virus......?

  • r u sure?

do you have another anti-virus installed?

  • thanks

  • wow thanks man

  • Thanks man that was good good work.

  • i need a anti virus program! you knwo what sucks? i just used my macbook today FIRST time out of the box and i visited some stupid page that contained viruses!

  • does mac has virus?

  • yes

  • does this protect against trojans aswell ?

  • yes it does. make sure you have your mac updated to the lates 10.5.7 version

  • Mac's actually don't have any virusses, the application iAntiVirus has 104 threaths listed, while most of them are taken care of by Apple security updates anyway. There are a few trojans and keylogger, but the chances of getting infected are pretty much 0. So, you can download iAntiVirus for extra security, but it's not really a necessity...

  • every computer system has virus you nim wit

  • Well, it seems that Mac's don't, or at least very few. Maybe some Trojans and Keyloggers. Just like I said, there are, but there is a very low chance of infection for a Mac. Mac's can only be carriers for Windows virusses.

  • Maybe so, but It's not free... and VirusBarrier is a program that's too heavy anyway. You actually don't need any protection, so some lightweight program like this should be more then enough.

  • thanks...i hope it works well...im pretty hesitant about "free" stuff cus i dont think it works as well as payed applications but ill give it a try......oh yea, that song might have been the WORST song ever!!...no offense

  • Well, a lot of free stuff works pretty well, or sometimes even better than some paid version. Avira's scanner for Windows, for instance, is a very good anti-virus suite while you don't have to pay anything.

  • awesome thanks for lettin us know! =]

  • not only imac also any other mac.

    andyes 10.5 and up

  • thanks, i did not want to pay for an antivirus, for a computer with almost no viruses 5/5

  • great video but 1 question...

y dont u talk with the built in microphone

  • lol. i was sick a the momment of vid.

so my voice was bad :P

  • it works!!!!!

    yaaaay!!

    10/10

  • hey this is good, 5/5
