  • i dont know why i never liked watchmen movies,

    i prefer batman :P

  • @LoGanTm7 There is only one Watchmen movie. I think a reason a lot of people don't like the Watchmen movie is because they didn't read the graphic novel and they expected the movie to be a typical superhero movie. Which it really isn't.

  • Nice video , I like it (;

  • gdfgcvbnjbvcnbfxngcbh,njhghfndsfxdcghbjhcxdsxfgchbjnh hgejvbfjhxdhv jhvi h g ughylkg h glkyhgö jhghlyhgökdhg<göh< hbjydh jbhl ölöldhg

  • yes

  • 16 people were not invited to the funeral

  • yeah he´s rorschach

  • Paul Simon sung this at the 10 anniv of 9/11 at the memorial it was epic.

  • Why they ignore Rorschach?

  • @geifson

They just don't know that it's him.

  • This music would go well with absolutely anything

  • what the song name guys?

  • @Tonylamnth99

"sound of silence" by simon and garfunkle! :)

  • Well done! Even though Dr. wasn't at "neon god," the "cancer grows" was fitting. ;)

  • One of my favourite movie scenes ever

  • Sorry I haven't seen this movie, I heard the soundtrack was great tho, but can you tell me if the actual movie during this scene uses this version of the song or the acoustic one?

  • @Dani1love The movie use this version! ;)

  • what a great scene

  • Holy shit the composition of the scene as AWESOME!!!!!

  • People now days asociate super heroes with kids and thos movies is not for people under 18+. Thats why it got some bad ratings.

  • I will never understand how the ratings for Watchmen are so horrible.

  • Yes rorschach is the man with the sign

  • Never compromise. Not even in the face of Armageddon.

  • at 0.58 is it RORSCHACH ?

  • @sthepant yes it is

  • @sthepant yes!!!!

  • @sthepant Not is Walter Kovacs

  • @sthepant They all didn't know his face at the time, so he had to come up with an excuse to be around there.

  • @sthepant Yep!

  • @sthepant yes! :)

  • @sthepant Yeah, is Rorschac...

  • @sthepant Yes he is.

  • @sthepant yup it was him

  • @sthepant yes

  • i love this movie so much and i think this is one of the only vids ive seen (that isnt directly taken from the film and somebody edited and cut on their own) that actually does this scene justice. very nicely done

  • And as others have said, if you threw this together half-awake, you know you are talented enough to be in any professional production. You should be the one cutting movies in Hollywood.

  • You did a hell of a job. It is a great video, and I actually thought it was a complete scene from the movie. Even though I've seen the movie about 10 times. This is one of the best fanvids I've seen. Thank you.

  • Hay 15 mal cogidos en el mundo.

  • great fucking job over here in this vid man

  • BEAUTIFULLY done!GREAT job!!!

  • Too bad there's not an "effin' awesome" choice in the reactions bar!

Yeah - the cut to Manhattan would've been VERY cool - but, as it was, it wasn't necessary and I wouldn't have thought of it immediately.

And, if this is what you do "half asleep" - I can't wait to see what you do while fully awake! LoL!

    GREAT work!

  • I remember as i watched this movie, and when this scene appeared, i immiditly googled "Watchmen soundtrack" to find this song :DDD

  • I want this music to play at my funeral

  • I want it to rain like this at my funeral

  • 15 people were jailed by Comedian

  • @ImmaterialChildren why should they disklike? it's his funeral xD

  • I think the "silence like a cancer grows" actually fits quite well with the shot of Dr Manhattan considering the story line.

  • im 20 and i can see the entirely beauty of this song. obviously 14 ppl are punks that same age as i am

  • 1:25 The Hole is smaller than the coffin trololololol faceroll.

  • @72Fabus lol i feel stupid for never noticing that...

  • @72Fabus thats because the coffin is closer to the camera then the hole, trololololol. smiley

  • @72Fabus that not true let me tell you , since the camera is looking from the top and the coffin is being lifted it "apparenty" is bigger since its closer to the camera , you might notice it gets smaller as they let it down ....

  • @lexnircola It's fucking have to explain geometrical optic to the trolls.

  • @72Fabus " The Hole is smaller than the coffin trololololol faceroll. "

No it's not. They are holding up the coffin so it's closer to the camera than the hole, Thus making it look bigger. When they start to put it down you see it's roughly the same size trolololololol.

  • @72Fabus Prospective, friend.

  • So cool.

  • this movie was alot sadder than i expected

  • This might be my favorite part in the movie. This part of the movie makes me want to cry. The intro to the movie with Bob Dylan's The Times They Are a-Changin' is pretty awesome too. I also like the jailbreak scene.

  • Is that the world trade center in the background D: ?

  • @Joho1208 Yes, but this is set in 1985 so it had to be there.

  • @Joho1208 For me it made the scene special because it is how I remembered it in more happier times.

  • steve jobs' funeral footage???

  • Anyone else notice at 1:29 that the coffin is bigger than the hole in the ground made for it? Then at 2:07 the hole is much bigger.

  • Rochach as a hippie in the back of dr.manhatten

  • This is the 2nd song I want to play in my funeral...

the 1st is "Always looking the bright side of life"

    Also, "The end is nigh"

  • TwT fuck song and video make my eyes rain TwT

  • I love this song, and I especially love this version.

  • World Trade Center's twin towers at 0:36 in the distance (this is accurate since the world of Watchmen is in another reality).

  • @kingdesbillets More so because this takes place in 1985... WTC-1973-2001

  • its...perfect. I couldnt care less about the movie, but the music, every single song is so unexpected - yet perfect.

All i remember from the movie is JDMorgan's cheeky smile and the songs.

  • Yeah, it's quite clear what this scene is about, really. He knew what he was referencing. RIP 9/11

  • Just watched Simon sing at the 9/11 memorial for the 10th anniversary. Came to Youtube looking for this song to hear it again, and found this. With the 2 towers prominently shown in the background. We'll clearly never forget.

  • i want that playing while they trying to stuff me 6 feet under hehe

  • i love Edward Blake

  • :43 are those the twin towers in the background?

  • @wsgchopper Yeah. The move was set in the 80s

  • @wsgchopper yea.

  • I have to say, Watchmen had the BEST soundtrack.

  • Good work on the clip.

  • Watchmen is not a great movie and, personally, I don' like Zack Snyder. However a really did enjoy the visual of the characters, some scenes that the soundtrack match with the movie's moment, the scenario's esthetics, all this stuff i guess superb at the movie. Nevertheless I think some characters like ozzymandias, had been little attentioned, the built of personality of some character was weak and the jumps were too much cable-style

  • And a vison that was planted in My brain, Still Remains....

  • Greatest association song-scene ever.

  • The song is Simon and Garfunkel's "Sound of Silence"

  • @deathanee666 BUT its not the original version i like this better though , has some slight effect on the voice , both are good

  • Damn, what's the name of this awesome song?

  • This is the nicest done version of this that I've seen, and it's most delightful. Kudos to the uploader.

  • @Nomoreidsleft it's set before it fell down that's why

  • Interesting how they decided to keep the WTC in the skyline. All movies should do that to show our defiance of the evil people who brought it down.

  • @Nomoreidsleft No it's gone, it shouldn't be there.

  • @WaspSnG yes it should bet there seeing as this is set in 1985.

  • @Zebedee67 Hmmm nice one, I don't know the movie that well but you're right. :)

  • in the comic rorschach was in a lot of scenes but you didnt notice him until the the 2nd time you read it

  • The awesome part of this scene is that all of them were there. Malak was there as well and Rorsach's THE END IS NIGH sign is priceless.

  • rorschach was in the funeral all the time.............

  • the comedian is by far the greatest person in this film!

  • Thank you. : )

  • I hate the comedian he killed Kennedy why? can someone explain that to me?

  • @109jfkpt I don't think it's ever revealed why but it's most likely a political thin as he did a lot of work for the government.

  • @109jfkpt He was also involved with the CIA in the 1960s and 70s

  • 0:10 A WEEPING ANGEL. DON'T. FUCKING. BLINK.

  • @WaspSnG "Blinking" STOP IT

  • @fabio24amarante Oh crap, I blinked. Now I'm in 1985 with the Watchmen, attending the funeral. :P

  • @xtatictimes4ever Someones not a Doctor Who fan....

  • @GrimmjowMaX I am a Doctor Who fan! My reference to "Now I'm in 1985 with the Watchmen" is a reference to the Angels ability to send someone back in time.

  • @fabio24amarante Too late the image has already jumped out of 309, 804 computers.

  • @fabio24amarante Dr. Who, and I don't even watch it often!

  • @fabio24amarante i dont see it LOL does the tear come out of the angels eye? :S or is it the rain that symbalises it

  • 0:57 RORSCHACH!

  • @SuperFabioff Ssssst. You're not supposed to know that at this point.

  • @MRWWAYSS i know .. BUT ITS SO COOL XD

  • @fabio24amarante

    Thought the same thing.

  • @fabio24amarante i didnt blink through the song now my eyes hurt

  • I don't know if it's intentional from the director's part, but I have a hard time telling whether Night Owl sheds a few tears that are hidden by the raindrops.

  • Very Well done and gotta love seeing Rorschach in "disguise".

  • Really well done.

  • "And the people bowed and prayed to The Neon God they made"...The Neon God is also...internet computers...Motor Vehicles...Mobile Phones...iPod...Aeroplanes...!!!

  • Didn't notice before, but Rorschach is the guy that's holding "The End Is Nigh" sign. Kinda shows his dwindling fate in humanity. In a way he beats up criminals just to satisfy some form of revenge on humanity. With his abusive mother and being bullied as a kid and all. it puts emphasis on his black and white morality.

He also just wanted to watch The Comedian's funeral w/o his costume because he didn't want to be arrested for illegally fighting crime.

  • I just recieved the novel today and I love it!

  • the song is called sound of silence by Simon and Garfunkel

  • @FinchEbonheart *The Sounds of Silence

MInor point, but the song is so major, I had to.

  • @painxtreme - You are incorrect. The song is called The Sound of Silence. The album was called Sounds of Silence.

  • @blackleatherrain Too weird, Im holding the 45 of it in my hand (if you're old enough to know what that is) and it is plural. It is singular on the album cover playlist and label. Perhaps it was misprinted on the label and playlist? Doubtful. Maybe by the time it was released as a single, enough people had mistakenly called it "Sounds of Silence", that they printed the single label that way...or maybe I have a Multi-Jillion dollar error. Now it makes me want to look at live albums and such.

  • That coffin totally doesn't fit in that hole.

  • @noob24de Totally not, and they don't allow them to be in empty holes anymore, now there has to be a concrete vault in the ground, at least that has been the law in the places Ive lived. Probably part of the Clean Water Act. Yay!, aren't mundane civil engineering details just a blast?

  • :´(

  • ich muss zwar heulen bei der scheisse aber ich gucks immer und immer wieder ... weils einfach gut tut ....

  • fking great i can hear it just again and again ... its lovely good sound while having a bad time -.- ...

  • Man you made that great :)

  • the guy from 0:57 to 1.12 is Roscharch ?!^^

  • @lPwnyx ya

  • Respond to this video... i think so

  • @lPwnyx Yes

  • whats the name of the music?

  • @Mytopthings The Sound Of Silence by Simon & Garfunkel.

  • @mwojm thanks

  • Rest in Piece, Edward Blake...you are missed

  • @robotlatino23 lol ur welcome

  • @robotlatino23 *sigh* okay... basically, in the novel, instead of blowing up new york, Veidt creates a giant squid on a secret island. this is why Blake freaked out and cried in front of Moloch. he saw the squid and figured out what veidt planned to use it for, and knew he must stay quiet. veidt discovered a way to teleport the squid to new york, making it blow up when it got there, making it look like an alien invasion, causing the world to come to peace with each other to deal with it. the end

  • This movie

    1. Had Awesome soundtrack

    2. Had Awesome acting with the exception of Laurie

    3. Portrayed characters almost perfectly

    4. Had awesome but not entirely realistic fight scenes

    5. Had awesome special effects.

    6. It may have been hard to follow for some people who hadnt read the book.

I dont know why people dont appreciate this movie.

  • @Zachtheawesome42 in time others will appreciate this Illuminating movie, especially now that Marvel is owned by Mickey Mouse (Walt Disney), while the Sheeple continue playing with Ewoks & Jar Jar Binks!

  • @Zachtheawesome42 I don't know about the actres who played Silk Spectre. She wasn't THAT bad, and I admit that she didn't show alot of emotion even though it is obvious she tried. I saw the film first but read alot about the graphic novel and Ilove the comic book even though I have never read it as it inspired me alot with help form the Blessed Virgin Mary. Now I'm waiting for the comic to arrive in my post, I can't wait!!!

  • Yeah, for some reason I didn't notice all the times Rorschach is in the background until the 3rd or 4th time I saw the movie.

    Also, 2 things.

    1. The Comedian is my favorite character. Make of that what you will.

    2. Just wanted to say, the homeless guy with the sign isn't Walter Kovacs, a homeless guy. That's Rorschach disguised as Walter Kovacs, a homeless guy.

  • @SethGline hes not exactly homeless in the novel he has an appartment.

  • @robotlatino23 just read the novel. you'll understand.

  • @robotlatino23 LOLOLOLOLOLOL read the novel

  • Definitely a brilliant movie that didnt get the recognition it deserved! And wow this scene with this song just blew my mind away!!

  • what is this song about

  • On a less preachy note: fantastic job with the video uploader, i really appreciate it and i'm sure thousand other did as well. thanks for your contribution.

  • @darkjesterWoW Seconded.

  • Also, i think this movie had the greatest intro of all time. One of my favorite songs and the cinematography was superb. this was a much better movie adaptation than V for Vendetta. If any of you love the movie V for Vendetta, i implore you to read the graphic novel which is a thousand times better. the scenes of the novel which resonated with me most were discarded from the movie. Check it out, for your sakes - trust me - it's fantastic.

  • now that i've read the comic i've come to appreciate this movie more. they get so many details correct. well, except for the fucking squid.

  • @theFemeGeek Lol, as a hardcore advocate of the comic-book, long before there was any notion of a movie being made, I think they did fairly well with dealing with 'the squid'. If they had included it into the movie, they would have had to make it perfect as it's the climax of the plot. And also, I'm not entirely sure if movies are the correct medium for something like that.. It would have made the movie difficult.. but regardless the message was retained, the message of the 'outside threat'.

  • @darkjesterWoW i do agree with you. i have been thinking about the squid for a few days now. i think that, since not everyone has read the graphic novel (which the squid fits much better in), audiences wouldn't have accepted the squid very easily, and they wouldn't understand. although it's a very large detail that they left out of the movie, i have to give them props for including all the other smaller details that made the novel so amazing to read. u have to read it to appretiate the movie.

  • @darkjesterWoW *appreciate

  • Awesome song + Awesome movie= AWESOME

  • i like this song with drums

  • I'd say that the song makes about 75% of the scene. This video with the song in its entirety is simply perfect.

  • is the guy with the sign rorschach

    0.58

  • @elites4and4humans Yeah thats him, he doesnt have his mask on

  • im not sure about the ideals presented in this movie, but i know it was an excellent movie with an amazing plot, highly underrated

  • So well made.

    Brilliant.

  • I just realized that was Roscharch with the sigh. XD

  • Why does Zack Snyder always put a bunch of music videos in his movies? Is he gonna do this in Superman?

  • "He saw the true face of the twentieth century and chose to become a reflection, a parody of it. No-one else saw the joke, that's why he was lonely."

  • One of my favorite movies!! Love this sceen. Epic! from a european (ho dont hate the US.)

  • Dios! que buena peli!

  • Me before: Maybe this song works with this scene. Perhaps you can't imagine one without the other.

Me after: Or maybe this song sucks. NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:0

  • And the vision that was planted in my brain

    Still remains ...

  • In my oppinion, the "neon god" the song speaks about is the TV, and how, since it's birth, people have blindly followed its orders. Great soundtrack for a great movie anyway.

  • The end is nigh.

  • @sqccccccccc What do you expect? The comedian's dead.
