a sow with two cubs and you got out of the safety of your car=not smart ! this is how people get hurt and the bear (through no fault of it's own other than protectin it;s young) get put to death. i lived for years in northern Wisconsin which has a good sized bear population and everyone i know would NEVER get out and start following a sow with cubs- NEVER !!!!!!!!
It seems like there are a lot of bears in New Jersey for some reason, i live in Mass and havent heard of any,,not even in western mass in the hills. I just remember a Soprano's episode where there was a bear encounter in NJ
