  • Their batteries are the ultimate proof to the fact that "life is short".

  • I just dropped my Alienware M15 laptop :(

  • @jdcrispe95

    What was the outcome?

  • @psptechnologypsp no more alienware laptop. the screen and HDD are fucked.

  • @jdcrispe95

Very sad, i feel for you....on my thinkpad i feel for you haha

  • i wish my thinkpad could do this lol :o

  • well I want THAT rollcage on my R61...

  • Rollcage works it protected my T61 may times...

  • i wish IBM still made these thinkpads. Lenovo does just as good a job, but haveing thar 3-color IBM logo really made it stand out.

  • @anakinseviltwin TBh, its the exact same people that make the notebooks, its just that they're Lenovo branded instead of IBM branded

  • @anakinseviltwin That is true, I have the same thoughts on that. But I found a way where I can actually print out a matte black sticker, and put it on my Lenovo ThinkPad, I made it look exactly like an "IBM" ThinkPad. XD

  • @anakinseviltwin It still says "IBM" on the top doesn't it?

  • @lalobrit9 The year after the acquisition was made, they were manufactured with an IBM and Lenovo logo on them.

  • I doubt you have ever had a thinkpad.

    writen on a W500

  • i wish they made a laptop case like that.

  • I love thinkpads. they might not look the part but they're sturdy as hell and the keyboard is easily the best laptop keyboard i've used EVER. Best quality PC out there (accidently dropped mine a few times and still looks and works like new) im a Mac user now, no more thinkpads for me!

  • the unibodys just as tough

  • Did anyone notice that the Thinkpad had Thinkpad logo and not the IBM one? T60 never had it.

T61 was the first Thinkpad on the market with the Thinkpad T-series logo.

This video was posted in may 2006, about 1year before they actually started to sell Thinkpads with the Thinkpad T-series logo instead of the IBM Thinkpad logo.

  • My R60i has a IBM logo on it, but in BIOS info it Lenovo

  • Yeah, but I really really think that these guys from Lenovo actually did nothing with the T60 and T61 cause its the same as T4x....

same software, same quality but it says Lenovo.... I guess the IBM had plans with never model and the guys from Lenovo made it real and called it T6x

just the keyboard looks like on the old thinkpads and the buttons made a change....

but If you will have a look on new models like T400s which has fucked up legendary Thinkpad keyboard, it isnt the IBM anymore

  • @dzava Yeah, the newer T series thinkpads are pretty crappy. The screen flexes, the keyboard flexes, it just doesn't seem durable. Typed from an IBM ThinkPad T30.

  • @RCROX5000 and thats why I would never buy a new Lenovo :) Im happy with my old ThinkPad

  • it would be sick if my lenovo T500 could actually do that:P

  • i just got a thinkpad t61 and its sick, it feels so sturdy unlike my compaq presario that had broken hinges in just over 2 years

  • you need active protection system to protect your hard drive

  • My Thinkpad does it too!

  • BarricadeSlade i don't think you ever used a Thinkpad before and nothing is bad as Dell

  • ahhh Sweet!!!

  • I own a ThinkPad buddy. It doesn't do this, nor does any other thinkpad that I know of. The rollcage you're talking about is on the inside of the case and looks nothing like what they're showing in the video.

  • Does this actually exist in the market?

  • a very nice laptop and great advertisement

  • Thinkpad is #1

  • First of all they are desighned for BUSINESSMEN asswipe.

Second of all they have conservative design, but not ugly.

  • Agreed

  • Quite the contrary, I think the Dells and HPs with their goody blye lights everywhere, and dumb gizmos and buttons that are ugly. The Thinkpad to me is the best looking one around, next to Apple's laptops.

  • You have marked my words ;)

I preffer comfortable keyboard and sturdy design, I dont need a laptop with tousands of lights and ultra modern design for young kids (like Pavilion) which might be breakable...

Thats why businessmen choose Thinkpads... you pay for the quality, not for the brand

  • That is the style!

  • Comment removed

  • i want one of them!!!

  • is this for real? :O

  • Thinkpad for the win!

  • Thinkpad is the best
