  • This is going to become Square's theme if they dont remake FF7 HD

  • Shinra = Umbrella Corps of the final fantasy world

  • Mr Burn's theme.

  • One of the things I like about this game is that you see it through the eyes of the bad guys. Because the Earth was dying out and Sephiroth summoned meteor to release life force. The people you play as have killed a shit ton of people by blowing up power plants. So that jius gives the game a bit of a twist.

Anyone else think they should release ff7-2?

Remember how shit ffXIII was? they made a -2 to that and might make -3

  • Ohh Palmer..you fat fuck...

  • Meanwhile in the FBI quarters....

Boss: *Gendo pose* We got rid of Megaupload....And once SOPA is completed...The world will be ours...

    Henchmen: All hail SOPA!!!

  • someone needs to spit a twista type flow to this and upload it to youtube

  • This song pretty much oozes the phrase "Like A Boss!"

  • Interesting how the "shin" in the name means "god".

  • @ReshiROM1

Unless there is actual Japanese, there are several words and readings that "Shin" could mean. Another reading of "shin" can mean "new" for example.

  • I've never liked FFVII as a game, but the music is absolutley amazing.

  • @Badfish93 Heretic! Final Fantasy Dominates you!

  • @conskript FFVII dosen't dominate me, it's music certainly does though.

  • look up immoral melody ff9.. sounds ALOT alike

  • this is a really epic theme

  • trip to the school headmasters back in the day

  • rufus:Hedgierr, how many times have I told you to shut up?

    Hedgierr: Too many sir.

Rufus: ... need i say more

    Hedgierr: No sir

    Rufus: Good *walks away*

Hedgierr: (you can literally hear the sound of his self-control snapping) *kicks the nearest living thing

  • this reminds me of the oval office

  • sephiroth? no, rufus is the best villian in ff7.

  • @BahamutZEROteraFlare He reminds me more of an anti-hero in advent children, rufus was always a favorite though!

  • Sorry, I mean Blizzard; not Square Enix.

  • This is, and will always be, the music constantly pumping out of the speakers in Square Enix.

  • Barrett lost alot of his badassness when Cid came...."SHEILA!!! WHERE THE GODAMAN TEA!!!!THE TEA!!!!"

  • @TheEclipse5 "Sit your ass down in that chair and drink your goddamn TEA!!!!

  • everytime this places i think of some big shinra douche waddling into the scene with some big douche plan under way

  • Kya-ha-ha!

    Gya-ha-ha!

  • @DarkAnsem88 Greatest laughs ever

  • @DarkAnsem88 NOOOO THEIR BACK!!!!!

  • if i become a big business man im gonna hire an assistant to follow me around playing this music

  • @darkriku97 Seconded. And also have Rufus' March play whenever I make profit.

  • @darkriku97 Make sure to dress up like Rufus :3

  • @darkriku97 I can imagine it now... "By the way, no Christmas bonus, have a great holiday."

  • @darkriku97 nah dude...if I become the CEO, I would have this song playing on the reception hall on loop all day long to remind the employees coming in what kind of company they're working for ahaha

  • @Xyntech06 your comment sir, is made of win :D i'd work in a big building with this playing all day

  • lol this would fir either disney or walmart

  • BP oil company HQ.

Either that, or what goes through my head when my mom calls me.

  • I think I heard this playing during my trip to the White House

  • Should be the official theme of the British Government.

  • @EnglanderUK nah, i don't think this music really fits the old architecture of the houses of parliament or anything like that. sounds far too industrial.

  • i have had traumatic incidences with zigzags and stairs ever scince

  • "we got to hit these three switches together.....ready? GO!" *misses the timing* "FUCCCCCCCCCC---"

  • going to play this game again for the 100th time. 100%

  • I wish I shorted some stock in disc 1 to buy the condo later

  • Shinra were truly the real villains in FFVII. Sephiroth was great, but was just an object to reach. Shinra was a far more deep villain that stuck with you from beginning to the end of the game. I hate Advent Children for bringing back Rufus from what was a fitting and meaningful death, and for pretty much everything else they did with the FFVII franchise.

  • I can just imagine Rufus swishing his hair back with his right hand.

    Hehehehe oh Rufus...

  • I will build an empire from the ground up in the heart of the city then stand on the dark rooftop with large speakers and blast this theme as I smoke a cigar watching as people run away because of how maniacal the theme sounds.

  • If I would be the ruler of an country I really would play this theme all day in my sweet.

  • Thinking about it, Shinra wasn't out to save the world, it was only out killing the weapons and assisting you in a sense for their own survival. Keeping in business even with the planet's specifically designed life erasers on the prowl, is something I truly admire in the company. Towards the end, Shinra is still evil, but neutral overall.

  • Re: the discussion of Rufus's character derailment in Advent Children: he was a bit more laid back at the end of 7 (when we all thought he died), or at least seemed that way as he was genuinely trying to do stuff to help save the planet from Meteor; not quite as tyrannical as "I will rule with fear" Rufus. Also, in Advent Children he's not really a saint; he sends the Turks to get Jenova's remains for the benefit of the company (hence, himself) and lies to not just Kadaj but also Cloud about it.

  • BP's Theme!

  • I don't get it...HOW did Rufus survive the lazer-attack?

    He was supposed to DIE!!!!

  • @Keybladerproject He tries to explain but Cloud was "not interested".

  • The piece has an excellent mechanical feel to it, like the corrupted clockwork of business of the Shin-Ra Electric Power Company ticking away, slurping the life force of the planet to coat their pockets in gold...

  • Sierra's HQ theme

  • I still remember how I thought I might be near the end of the game when I was going up the Shinra tower and got near the top. I was so glad when I first saw the world map and realised I had only just begun...

    Such an epic saga!

  • I've been listening to FF7 music lately and it's really been making me want to replay... maybe after I finish going through baldur's gate 2 again :D

  • Oh shit! I remember on the PS1 how scared I was the first time in FF7 in Shinra HQ when Jenova had just broken out and shit..

  • Just curious, what makes the Compilation of FF7 Canon? I know Square-Enix is putting it out, but what people were involved in making the story?

  • @videogamelibrary

It is in NO WAY cannon at all, i sware.I wonder how cloud went from being a cocky bastard in FF7 to some emo bitch in Advent Children and anything else he's been depicted in post the actual game itself.

Anyway, Rufus Shinra was the true antagonist of this game, hands down.

  • @RemiusTheAwesome I always thought of Rufus as mostly misunderstood. Or at least misjudged. For all his talk about ruthlessness, *HE* didn't drop half the city on top of the slums, and most of Rufus' efforts as Shinra's president were geared toward protecting the planet (making one wonder why Avalanche kept trying to interfere with Shinra's efforts to destroy Meteor and/or Sephiroth). So IMO he was a villain-in-name-only. Still a great character, though.

  • @Kooshmeister3

He wanted what he wanted, and he didn't care who he stepped on, ruined or killed to get it. The first dialogue you get from him is his little speech on how he wants to rule the world with fear. Weapon and Jenova only made him shift his vision towards something that hindered him.

The only thing that was more dangerous in FF7 than Jenova or Meteor was Rufus. He was most definitely a Villian. Even in the most pressing moments in the game, his character never faltered.

  • @RemiusTheAwesome You didn't play through to the end of the game, did you. Because he stops being a 'cocky bastard' sometime about disk 2.

And he's not an 'emo bitch,' either. In AC he's dying of a terminal (not to mention painful) illness that causes extremely disturbing visions. Those visions include memories of the times he's 'failed' his friends. Then there's how he's failed to find a cure for Denzel and... I could go on and on about the reasons Cloud has to be depressed.

    He's not emo!

  • @brigidtheirish

Yeah, he stops being the way he was, but his personalty never changes very much even after he realizes that he wasn't being himself. He just stops acting so vain towards everybody and expresses his feelings a bit more. Cloud's personality in AC wasn't very justified at all.

And i dont remember Geostigma ever having anything to do with hallucinations, i have no clue where you got that information from. It was just a terminal illness that looked really ugly.

  • @RemiusTheAwesome Actually, there was a pretty definite change in character from how he was at the start of the game and how he was at the end. It's a fairly gradual change, so I suppose it could be missed. *shrug* I guess I just don't see how his characterization in AC is contrary to his characterization in the game.

And Geostigma definitely involved hallucinations (or at least flashbacks) for Cloud. Remember the flashing images with each attack? We see something similar with Denzel, too.

  • @videogamelibrary Because SquareEnix says it's canon? I don't see why it wouldn't be. Well, except 'Maiden Who Travels the Planet,' but Square seems to have disowned that one.

  • Barret - "Let's bust in thru da fornt door!"

  • Dis is one badASS beat

  • it fits well also for richars nixon.

  • ...EPIC...WIN...COMMENT hahaha

God man I'll never forget that comparison as long as I live!!..."ten minutes later"

What was I talking about again?

  • @jamesgravil LOLOLOL

  • @jamesgravil then Barret starts shooting Bill Gates

  • @jamesgravil just because of the

    'Barret:"@&%$!"'

    you are awesome XD

  • @jamesgravil Haha, my friends and I would call Microsoft "Shinra" back in the day too.

  • @jamesgravil Haha, my friends and I would call Microsoft "Shinra" back in the day too. But it's soon to be the "Google" Theme.

  • @jamesgravil

Vincent : I hate both MS and Apple

    I use Fedora and Ubuntu

I put my windows 98 into my coffin

  • @jamesgra

SHINRA reperesnt all the fuckin MEGACORPORATION tha are destroying the planet. With a lot of money and they dont really care about nothing, anly money and herselfs.

  • @mawsterin Corporations aren't destroying the planet. The Planet is fine, it's been fine for 4 billion years. We're destroying ourselves.

  • @Prepareforglory0 I will post this on my FB wall

  • @jamesgravil oh my god, laughed so hard! true tho...well said brother :D

  • @jamesgravil lmfao never laughed so hard in my life honestly

  • This theme somehow reminds me of the Empire from Star Wars. It's easily on a par with The Imperial March, imo.

  • It's rippin' me up.

  • BAD COMPANY! BAD!

lol~~~~~ shinra does nth except killing the planet and the ppl they dont like...

i mean, LOOK AT ZACK, my poor lil zack¬

  • Wasn't Shinra's Fault. Was Hojo. Blame him not Shinra! D: Al though Hojo was a part of Shinra. BUT HE WAS A MAD SCIENTIST AS WELL! BEsides who cares about Zack? I'm more concerned about the future than the past . o_o

    MORE FFVII GAMES!

  • I wouldn't say Hojo is with Shinra at all to be honest...maybe just to carry out his fucked up experiments...but in the end Hojo was loyal to only himself and Sephiroth

  • Such an epic piece.

  • Love the company theme. 5 stars!

  • screw the stairs take the loby lolz more benefiting trust me ;)

    hail Company of ShinRa!

  • I remember going up the stairs .. every time, go up the stairs. Just to watch Barret and Tifa yell at each other xDDD

  • Them yelling at each other was actually a pretty clever way to entertain people while doing a boring thing. xD

I mean it was quite funny going up those stairs listening to barret yapping how tiresome it is and Tifa saying NOT YET!!!

  • @dogglefox98 wait where is this? geez its been too long since i've played 7 still hoping sony will actually get the remake out but i'll not hold my breath.

  • @EasyCompany911 Originally in the Mako Reactor when President Shinra intercepts Cloud and the gang from blowing up the reactor. From then on it is also in the Shinra Building and generally any direct contact with Shinra.

  • @EasyCompany911 It literally plays your whole time in the Shinra building.

  • @dogglefox98 And you get a free Elixir out of the deal.

  • I think I took the stairs and still ended up fighting all the guys on the elevator. O_o Blagh.

  • bad ass theme.

  • This theme brings back quite a few memories. Back when I first played FFVII I thought these guys were the most evil people ever. I was proven wrong later in the game of course...

  • I just love this!!!

  • yeah the front door!! so cool that moment in the elevator having so many fights and Barret ownin every robot with his limit!!

  • charge through the front door and kick ass

  • Remember it like it was yesterday.

I feel like playing this so bad right now, haha.

  • ...i remember this place too. I was young didnt understand the dialog so I went the side route. Then I'm told that they have a FCKING ELEVATOR in the main entrance! man i ran those stairs like 10min ...

    this theme is wery moody

  • I always went threw the front! RAWR!!!

  • i remember the 1st time i heard this i got SO HYPE!!! "should we go in through the front door or find another inside?" FIGHT MY WAY THROUGH THE FRONT DOOR!!!!!

  • Classic.:)
