can please somebody help me with my little assassin problem?:

i played skyrim alot like an assassin and i really like it, but i dont know how to get the illusion spell "invisibility" early in the game. i wanted to get as much invisibility as possible (stone/shadowcloak of nocturnal etc...) but i cant get my illusion to a higher level. mainly i use bows and my favourite dagger "blade of woe" but i want that damn invisibility. is there some easy way to powerlevel illusion? please answer!

Playing an assassin is like playing god mode. Seriously, I'm level 42 at the moment, and I haven't died a single time since around level 10. I'm practically impossible to detect (got 100 sneak at like level 25), my bow one-shots more or less anything if I'm sneaking, dual-wielding swords kills more or less anything in less than three second and a combination of Dragon and Nightingale Armor more or less makes me invincible. I don't even need the dagger backstab anymore. :P

if you want good asassin armor kill Cicero in the darkbrotherhood questline and take his clothes the stats are

hat- 35% better sneaking

body- prices are 20% better one handed does 20% more damage

boots- muffled and move silently

gloves- double sneak attack damage with one handed weapons

its better for someone who uses daggers more than bows

In some ways I wish they hadn't made smithing and enchanting so good. Skyrim is a great game but like all single player games it becomes repetitive after a while. Daedric armor and weapons make the game too easy even on master, and then add enchantments to all those things...If only Skyrim had multiplayer. =(

I love using the Ebony Mail daedric armor it's heavy armor but it gives you muffle and poison damage if not seen and if you crouch and stay still they can't see you and they still get damage not knowing where you are lol

@killer25730 Strongest bow you can get your hands on lol, I use an enchanted ebony one I think. Arrows, you can use pretty much any, but glass arrows are very good and you can usually buy them in whiterun at the archery shop. If you want a strong bow, go to riften and join the thieves guild, do the main questline for them and eventually you will get the nightingale bow, it's strong and has good enchantments.

well im level 21 and i've basicaly done what you've done. If you wear shrouded gloves, sneaking with daggers will give 30X damage. I've also completed the dark brootherhood and to answer the guy before me a theif will steal something for there own pleasure. An assasin must be hired and payed to do something.

@Daeganisboss There really isn't much of a difference. A thief steals stuff, an assassin may or may not steal stuff. If you don't really steal stuff very much, then you're not really a thief. When talking about thieving in Skyrim, thief generally refers to someone who puts a lot of points into pickpocket.

Mine char is mixed, 100 Smith, 100 Ench, i use it like warrior (sword&shield), a i have items - amulets and ring that gives One-Handed, and also i am Archer, i have very nice bow, sometimes i play as mage, but iam not so good at that. I combine them, in quests in Mages Guild, i play as Mage, in Companions i play as warrior, in Thiefs Guild and DB i play as thief/assassin. I think is best, to be master of one or two, and to be like apprentice in other skills.

Yeah shrouded armor is good and so is dragon scale but if you want something great get the special aincent shrouded armor (I definetly need to get better at spelling) and if you want to know where to find it go to the uesp wiki and look it up. The best dagger has to be the blade of woe from the dark brotherhood and you can get two if you exploit the thing where you pickpocket another from astrid. If you get two blades of woe then get mehrunes razor, thats also very good.

I managed to get a 30x damage bonus on my dagger sneak attack. I got the perk (obviously) but i also got some gloves that gave a me a 2x sneak attack damage with one-handed weapons. These two add up, giving me a total of 30x damage! :D.

One hitting giants and mamoths are fun.

@grifskii Yea a 10 bonus to sneak isnt going to make or break a character. As long as your level 10 or under you can easily make it work. A good skill to have with sneak is illusion. Use invisibility spell and calm spell= The perfect build.

@MakingRandomVids You can make any race you want into what you want. The bonuses are going to help more. The khajiit has the better assassin bonuses and powers but others such as wood elves, dark elves or argonians also make good assassin/thief characters

@TheVayacondios Id have to say it wouldn't worth it, because 4 items with 40% sneak will make you impossible to see under the shadow of a tree. So the other enchantment slot could be archery damage or armor (my archer is armorless and im fine) or illusion mana cost reduction. So in order of priorities, i'd say Sneak > Bow Damage > illusion mana cost. If you cant be seen, who needs armor ?

Dark Brotherhood armor looks super gay though. But those gloves and boots... very nice until you get your smith and enchanting to 100. My Khajit was kinda all over but I naturally gravitated to an assassin build. didn't know about the natural race perks at first. A few wasted points but still got there. But I did heavy armor. I found the ebony mail fairly early and it is just perfect for sneaking. But yeah, I was a bit sad though cause thieves guild and nightingale armor looked soooo good.

I have an idea for an assassin build, Dark Elf vampire, main skills one hand illusion sneak and pickpocket (for the ability to steal weapons and armor). vampire gives u sneak and illusion bonus as well as frost resist, but it subtracts 25% fire resist, which is why a dark elf. that leaves you with all your enchant open to personal customization and a 25% base resist to frost and fire. Please tell me what you think :)

If you wear the shrouded gloves that you get in the Dark Brotherhood you do 30x more damage, so take a dagger that does 20 damage and get the "Assassin's Blade" perk your doing 600 damage, I use 'The Blade of Woe' that douse 42 damage.
