Did the 2000 have the 4.6 or the 5.4, and did the 86 have the 302, or 351w? The 86 sounds like it revs a little higher, which could be attributed to bad sound quality, but I dunno.

To settle this: Take the '86, rev it up as per normal. When RPM = 3,000, floor it and pop the clutch. First one to see loses.

Yeah I think the 86 also.. Older metal always sounds tougher than the new stuff. New truck still sounds sweet though..
