The problem would have to lie in the implied vocal folds, not necessarily the octaves. You can use a voice to develop a vibration pattern. Whether these patterns are unique I cannot say, but the patterns are a result of the vocal folds in your throat. My ignorant speculation is that if such a study was ever done, they might've come to the conclusion that the patterns were too different. I can't find the source I alleged, I'm just playing devil's advocate here.

Whether this guy was a fake caller or not, what he said rang true. Did you also notice that Art Bell said the word "discharged" before the satellite or connection went down? I used to listen to Coast to Coast AM every chance possible. I got tired of Art Bell being so negative to callers and I appreciate George Noori as host above Mr Bell. Listening to the caller I found it to be credible. Please note that we've been conditioned by movies to think this isn't real. Amazing, just amazing and this was the first time I've ever heard of it.
