You ahould try a reeses break fast or fast break (i cant remember the name but its one of those two) in the us there are around ten different reeses candies! You should try skittle if u havent had them before! Or nerds or pop rocks!!!!!!
These all sound really tasty, especially the peanut butter Twix. BTW, did you ever manage to finish that huge bag of peanut butter cups that you found on Ebay?
Oh god watching this video makes me realize why we're the fattest country in the nation. We basically pack sugar into sugar on top of sugar and sprinkle it all with sugar. I'm so ashamed
Nearly all of american chocolate/candy/sweets and cereal have been banned in the UK and Ireland because of the sugar content! LMFAO! They can be shipped here, just not sold here. and sweet jesus what is their obsession with putting peanut butter in EVERYTHING! i was in an american sweet shop and almost everything had peanut butter in it or in the title. I like peanut butter...just not with everything! haha
@Vampiregirl1501 are you serious? they're banned because of the sugar content?
weird.. i had a snickers imported from britain that tasted just like an american one? didn't taste less sweet? it tasted better - but not less sweet by any means?
but yes.. peanut butter is used way too much.. i love the regular snickers, reeses cups and butterfinger, but thats it.. i wouldn't buy any other peanut-laden candy bar. especially not the twix one.. its like they don't realize how much fat is in peanuts.
@Vampiregirl1501 omg are you kidding me?? that is insane!! now i know why diabetes is such a BIG THING here! good thing we weren't allowed to eat lucky charms.. i'm quitting american junk and i'm going to go to those specialty stores and buy the british versions.
yuck yuck yuck i feel so cheated!!
good thing i'm not big on candy.. but now i feel bad for all the lil kiddies i know.
haha plenty of stores in brooklyn sell british candy though.. mostly the non-american shops.
i prefer the maple&brown sugar poptarts myself. (maybe it's cuz i'm from upstate new york), u can keep the twinkies. and i love the hershey's special dark chocolate
As an American I had never really thought about how sugary our junk food is. It's priceless seeing people from other countries try these things out that we have known all our lives though. If you want a seriously sugary treat, find a cherry mash. Also, see if you can find some twizlers. Being Aussie you could find this amusing but an old American favorite, the tootsie roll. Definitely wish there was a shop here with international stuff! If anyone wants to do an exchange, I would be glad, pm me
How about a Snickers bar? Maybe you've already tried those. I really like them, but like all American foods, they have tons of sugar. We American even have sweet white sandwich bread! ick!
@MrButterworth24 NOOOO they are my most favorite! Do you live in America? Like i mean do you buy the ones in America? I know they're the same but OMG they are SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO goooood!
I agree with susanlucena---combos are so yum! I love the cracker combos the best. Also try 100 Grand bar (used to be called $100,000 bar when I was a kid). They are chocolatey, with soft caramel, and a satisfying crunch.
hi David~~ I wonder if you have tried 'Combos'? They are mini pretzel tubes stuffed with cheese, and they come in several different flavors. I can only find them at gas station convenience stores (when I find them at all) so I stock up on them. If you see them try them. As for Poptarts~~ I would eat any flavor of them off the ground, if I had to, i love them that much. Thanks for your reviews, you freakin' rock!!!
PB Twix is fairly new..Watchamacallits actually date back to at least the early 80s! I think one of my fav USA candy bars are Fast Breaks & Take 5...and Pop Tarts are actually my weakness...if I have coffee..as you noticed..they are way sweet.....you don't need a toaster. lol But a pack of Poptarts is like 400 calories & enough sugar to last someone a month. If you can find HERR'S chips..wow..especially the Prime Rib flavor with sour cream.
Hi David...just tried Tim Tams this past weekend and they are too die for. They are better than any ofther cookie here in Canada that I've ever eaten.
Have you Wunderbar over there? That is my favorite candy bar.
try the "baby ruth", i have seen it. it looks beautiful. if i were you i would tried it. I also think you should try the "twizzlers". its got coffee in it, you like coffe, do you?? :)
I don't think pop tarts are considered candy but they are nasty regardless I think. You should pop them in the toaster see you if like it better. My all time fav is a Nestle Crunch bar
don't you just hate it when you eat something really sweet, and it just hits your tooth like crazy! LOL... I agree with you on the pop tart.. too sweet! xD
I can't believe people eat pop tarts like that for brekkie!! lol. But I would definitely go for one of those twix bars .. I hope you saved me the other half! ;)
@CookingwithKarma I hate pop tarts I know kids that loved them but even as a kid I couldn't stand them they are just gross no matter what flavor. I don't even get them for my kids, eat real food! Just my opinion
Omg, I'm sure they stopped making poptarts about 10 years ago haha I remember having them in Australia when I was 10-11, I'm now 21. But I LOVE THEM! They're better when they're toasted!
Aww so you didn't like the Whatchamacallit. Fair enough, but now the trend in America is dark chocolate with classic candy bars like Snickers and Reese Butter cups. Those are awesome with dark chocolate because its not as sweet. Oh yeah and Chocolate pop tarts are so sweet. You should try Cherry or some other fruit of your choice; its a little less sweet.
Does everything in the US have peanuts or peanut butter init -.-?? Glad i live in Australia, I've had a pop-tart before and i think there too sweet too, maybe that's because Aussie stuff isn't that sweet lol :P, Great Video tho :)
@taylort123, i know there not everything.. i have been to one of these shops here in Australia and pretty much all of the stuff they had was peanutbutter, apart from the hard lollie or whatever they were.
I like sour candy more than chocolate. Something like Jolly Rancher hard candies with double strong fruit flavors. I like the peach and watermelon best, but there is always a flavor I never saw before. I like gummy sour worms too.
Whatchamacallit is my fave! I don't care for nougat so i really like it.
I am STILL kicking myself for never getting a chance to try Peanut Butter and Jelly Poptarts which were a limited time flavor. I don't care for the fudge poptarts, they are too much for me. A lot of people eat them not toasted.
Never tried a pop tart before I have had some American chocolates before most of them seem to have peanut butter in them. Hard to know what to pick when it's all new to you.
I don't know what candy you have in Australia, so I'll just give my 2 favorites. One isn't American I know for sure, it's the Cadbury chocolate bars with roasted almonds. They are seasonal where I live. But it's the best chocolate candy bar ever! Whenever they come in season on the shelves, we clean 'em out to stock up, but they never last long in our house! xP.
The 2nd, I don't know if it's American either (I doubt it, American chocolate is mostly Hershey and it's gross) is Ferrero Rocher.
@rescue5609 It's not regional, they are all over the country. There used to be just chicks, hence the name peeps, but they've gained popularity so now there's all kinds of shapes and colors for different holidays.
how about you make a video showing everything in the store, and we can point out things you need to try? i take it for granted whats available to me, so ideas would be nice
@mrengler1 I asked if I could film in the show once, but they wouldn't let me. Something about company rules. A lot of shops are like that these days :(
The Twix looks lovely! Very rare we get anything like that here in Ireland. I was in my local supermarket yesterday and saw 4 new versions of the Kitkat Chunky. @Nannerchan I'm not sure, they were only around for a very short time in Australia. I'm guessing really sweet things just weren't that popular as a breakfast food.
