revelation 21:4 states "and he will wipeout every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more neither will mourning nor out cry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away" (=
Yeah you did seem quite clueless at the bell part.... but that's okay, everyone get's yelled random words at by Bono and has to decipher them in a matter of seconds in front of thousands of people... lol jk it was amazing.
I applaud EVEN more the fact that being a good Christian... and more than Bono really looking down at you to make your dream come true. It was God himself!
Your theory implies that you believe that God (your invisible, omnipotent friend in the sky), while ignoring the pain and suffering of people in, say, Darfur, Iraq, Afghanistan, Sri Lanka, Palestine, etc., has decided, as his top priority, to make sure that this guy prances about onstage with Bono and the Edge.
Do you realize how absurd this is? And you want me to respect that opinion?
I won't. And I shouldn't. Because nonsensical, arrogant ideas deserve no respect
Please allow me my comment as well. I don't believe that DANCENIJAS is suggesting this was God's TOP priority, as much as suggesting that God was simply there; which He was. Christians (as i am) believe that God is sovereign over all things, INCLUDING the sufferings in Darfur, Iraq, Afghan, etc..(Isaiah 45:6). Does this mean he takes pleasure in death..no, but he does in his ultimate plan for his creation. If you wana chat more, I'd love to. peace :) -Michael Mitchell
Totally. That's what I said. That's what Isaiah 45:6 says. Its what Job 2:10 says. If you don't believe in God, thats fine..we can talk about that. But i just want to be clear because many people (INCLUDING christians) have a wrong idea about what Christianity teaches. God is not concerned with our prosperity in a temporary fallen world. His purpose is bringing his truth, and righteousness into the hearts of those who will serve him. Our salvation is his concern.
Here's my opinion from a Christian view. If there was no suffering then there would be no reason for a God. The suffering makes us realize we're lost, in pain, and soon going to lose unless we seek God's help. I believe that's his motives for putting suffering on Earth.
Here's an example- Someone is getting good grades. The don't pray anymore cause they think it's useless. Now they go into a slump and get aweful grades. They call on God for guidance. Kind of a wimpy example but you get the point
"If there was no suffering then there would be no reason for a God. "
Couldn't have put it better myself.
Now, given that there is suffering in the world, that shows (to me) that God doesn't exist.
(Here is a better example: millions of innocent people go to the gas chamber because of an Austrian lunatic. They beg, pray and plead with God). God decides (for whatever reason) that they should be incinerated anyway. But not right away, only after years of torture.
Congradulations on both times getting to play with your favorite band. Pope Bono & the boys did a good thing by letting you get onstage and play. You did good too! Bravo!
man so lucky i got to play guitar with john butler last year that was amazing but u were apart of the show for that 5 mins man thats fucking awesome! goos stuff

that must of been a bit embarrassing failing at the "Like a bell" part... but still, you really have balls dude to go up and play alongside the biggest band in the world! Wonderful Job! Im a guitarist, and if i thought of doing what you did... i would of just froze up with awe and massive stage fright! :P
yea my main thing is I just couldn't hear him at the very end. I look back at it now and totally see what he was wanting me to do. Oh well. Watch my other video if you didn't..."Me on stage with U2 again". I think i kinda redeemed myself.
I've been playing piano for 27 years, and I can honestly say that I don't know if I would last more than 2 seconds on stage with U2-I would probably die from stage fright/heart attack! Well, great job; yes, I believe that lightning *does* strike twice (in your case, definitely!) Amy in Buffalo, NY :)
Go to Dublin there are some new office buildings on the southside the liffey, near the docklands. ask anyone where U2 is recording, go stand outfront of the studio... I bet we hear you on the new one next year. lol. Good job.

Since I don't actually play any instruments my sign will read something like ME + COWBELL = ONE...Be on the look out for my youtube video. :)
What happened after?? Did you get to go back stage or anything? I saw them pull someone out of the crowd in the old Sombrero in Tampa. The guy played guitar and cried the whole time... It was amazing just watching. You could tell the guy was just in heaven. Congratulations.
You have a light in your eyes that is rare. I think you have come to know God in a way most will never know. So happy for you and your experiences. i think you should invest in some logic, i posted this over a month ago, its quite possible that the user could have changed his info within the time allotted
thanks for the video... i play guitar and i always imagine bb king or eric clapton would invite me on stage to jam and i can visualize it all in my mind but to see it actually happen to someone is real cool! I'm Happy for you!
very inspirational if that happened to be i would be excited i think u2 is not the greatest band but what i would give to do that on guitar with in flames CLOUD CONNECTED
awesome...i just happened to come across this video, and i'm not a U2 fan really, but that is great that you got to have your dream come true. congrats man. :)
Yea! Every time we listen to the live recording of "Yahweh" from this St. Louis concert, we just smile thinking about you. What a thrill it was to witness your dream come true! (We were standing next to your friend to the left of you.) And now to be able to watch it again...awesome! Thanks for posting it.

Well, you can't have it both ways.
If one act on Earth (going on stage with U2) is the act of God, then the suffering of other people must also be the will of God.
Either everything that happens on Earth is because God wants it, or it isn't.

Yea! Every time we listen to the live recording of "Yahweh" from this St. Louis concert, we just smile thinking about you. What a thrill it was to witness your dream come true! (We were standing next to your friend to the left of you.) And now to be able to watch it again...awesome! Thanks for posting it.
