I find this host unbearable. His bias is obvious, and to make it worse, he is passive aggressive. His ending speech is the most irritating. 15 years after the fact, I have been to Northern Ireland twice and love it. It is one of my ancestral homes and it is BEAUTIFUL country filled with absolutely kind, fine people.  In my travel, I have seen progress and respect between the two communities. An equal society, does not destroy one tradition in order to promote another. March on gents.

I know most mainstream republicans have come to accept that you's have the right to be British. My view would be that the northern Ireland state was gerrymandered and the majority of ppl on the island wanted a fully independent Ireland. However it is time to face reality and N ireland will remain part of UK until the majority wishes to leave. I think loyalists would not be suppressed and could celebrate there britishness. I do think in terms of numbers nationalists will outpass unionists. The opinions in the video have changed so much from this video was made, Naturally during the troubles tensions were high and opinions were hardened.

The current opinion is that both sides can live together in a shared NI but we must respect each-other.

@padraicmcgeever Hi in answer to your question yes i feel Irish first then British. Try standing in Glasgow and tell the Scotts thier british not Scottish or in Wales the same.

Many loyalists actualy feel betrayed by the mainlands lack of nationalism and as a result the focus seems to have changed to more Ulster/Scott or Scotts/ Irish as opposed to a british identity. But certinally i connect no shame on the notion of being Irish/British.
