  • "My Lama," you mean you own him? "Budd[h]as are quite smart," no kiddin'. ANd have you read any sutras, like the Diamond sutra, which says that all created things are illusion, that all five skandhas (sense-worlds) are empty, devoid of real substance. How do you suppose a mantra really works? Do you think it's magic or do you think it's in your mind? We should try to mature our outlook and give up superstition here, in the 21st century.

  • The original Sanskrtam is: Om Ah Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum, with nasal final M's.

The other versions are variations that approximate the original for Chinese, Japanese, Tibetan, and other speakers. They are just approximate pronunciations. It's all good.

We have the original and then we have what came from that both.

  • just....chilling out...touching...listening to...

  • om ah hum vajra guru padme siddhi hum.......GREAT job on the video, nice images...

  • Is this "Rinpoches of Ladahk" by Oliver Shanti & Friends? Fantastic :-)

  • Om Ah Hum Benza Guru Pema Siddhi Hum (Tibetan)

    or

Om Ah Hung Benza Guru Padme Siddhi Hung ( Sanskrit)

  • @Ganeschar Totally incorrect in both cases. Please confirm your information before posting. People are being misinformed. Om Ah Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum is Sanskrit. Om Ah Hung Benza Guru Pema Siddhi Hung is hybrid Sanskrit, Tibetanized. It is not actual Tibetan language, just their version of Sanskrit. Chinese, Burmese, Japanese, Thai, all have their own versions, based on their approximation of Sanskrit.

  • I feel free :) Thank You....

  • PADMASAMBHAVA MANTRA

Om: Ah: Hum: Vajra: Guru: Padma: Siddhi: Hum

Die Erklärung ist zu finden im Tibetischen Buch vom Leben und Sterben.

The Explanation can be found in the Tibetan Book of Living and Death.

  • it scares me xD

  • Thanks you

  • Thank you and this is OM Mani Padme Hum

  • Amazing..................

  • This is Tibetans chanting OM MANI PEME HUNG - Chenrezig's mantra and not Guru Rinpoche's.

  • this beautiful mantra gives peace to our hearts ,it's wonderfull thank you very much!!!!

  • marvellous.

  • Exellent !

  • Om Ah Hung Benza Guru Pema Siddhi Hung!

  • @ikhamo

THis is NOT the Guru Rinpoche/Padmasambhava mantra.

They are not saying Om Ah Hum Vajra Guru Padma Siddhi Hum

They are saying "Om mani padme hum."

  • @ikhamo Wrong mantra. They are not chanting that, they are saying "Om mani padme . . . "

  • Say it like: om ah hoeng vaira goeroe padma siddi hoeng

  • when singing a mantra, is one supposed to say the words exactly, or is one able to sing it any way he wants?

  • u can do both.. just do as you like, as u feel more confortable ^^

  • thx =)

  • One is supposed to pronounce the words exactly and also think about the meaning of the words

  • My Lama said that Buddas are quite smart, and they will know when u call them. theres no need to stress about exact sound. its good to know the meening of words, but they will sill work iven if u dont know exact meening. Best Wishes!

  • sing it with your heart and all pure devotion and respect you can give and show...

  • the most important thing is intent, why are you doing the mantra recitation? to free all beings from suffering of course! establish this in your mind before reciting. then, while reciting the mantra visualize Guru Rinpoche (Padmasambhava) and truly know that your recitation has immediate effect. we are all interconnected and your positive thinking helps. also, once started, it is important to continue daily, even if you say it just 8 times. so in short, no sound does not matter as much as intent

  • Brilliant x 5*****

  • It sounds like they are saying Om Mani Peme Hung? I guess I just cant understand them well.

  • Qui peut m'enseigner ?

  • you may not change title and then upload someone's video as yours.Violation of YouTube policy.

  • Do you practice Dharma? May be you are too attached to the things you do? May be this anger makes your sight a bit cloudy and did not let you see that there are credits for you! :) I know is hard not to be attached...

  • Comment removed

  • u should be grateful for having ur video traveling around the net ;) Say "thank you for advertising my stuff"!

  • Wuhwuh, mohikanin108 have left a credit of who it belong to (in this case, you) on the video description.

  • mohikanin108 you stole my movie and renamed it. Please, remove it.

You can not practice dharma and steal somebody else's movies.

  • you simply stole this movie from me.Not very good karma. Please remove the movie.

  • I use this video to calm my bipolar symptoms. I find I am able to reach reality when I hate everything.

  • Why did you steal my video and rename it.

    Please remove.

Wuhwuh the maker of this video

  • I am not Buddhist so please correct me if I'm off track here.

To ascend to a higher level of consciousnes, isn't the reaction of inspiring thoughtful

meditation by this video/chant more important than the precise wording of the chant itself? Does it matter so much that a single incorrect sylable make it worthless as a "tool" to achieve serenity and greater insight?

After reading some of the other commments, that was the first thing that came into my mind.

    The video is fantastic!

  • Well, you see, the mantra of a deity is like an invocation; you actually call the deity by his name.

So if you want to call let's say, Anthony, you don't call Michael!

In fact I cannot unserstand what mantra is here; it seems Om Mani Peme Hum, where Mani Peme refers to Avalokiteshvara.

  • Thank you for that information. :-)

  • It's not Guru Rinpoche mantra. Guru's mantra: OM AH HUM BENZA GURU PEDMA SIDDHI HUM. This mantra called "Rinpoches of ladakh" from Oliver Shanti CD.

  • The one here is more true to the original Sanskrit. Your version is the Tibetan translation.

  • Please, What is the name of the CD?

  • The name of the CD is Tai Chi Too by Oliver Shanti. It is a hard to find expensive import bu you might find it on Amazon or e-bay.

  • Thank you sooooo much!

  • Please... what´s the source of this Mantra? C title please and from where! thank you!

  • soooo great pleasure

  • superb

  • Shantideva said that the one who sees the nature of the buddha in others can see also buddhas

I think our friend meant that:-)

  • we are buddha

  • lovely music and imagies - but this is not a clear chant of padmasambhava - which is a pity as the syllables themselves contain great blessing.

OM HA HUNG BENZA GURU PEMA SIDDHI HUNG

  • Extreme pleasing with calming effect.

  • Thank you so much for the efforts, its well done, may you and all listening to it be Blessed in the Triple Gems.

  • Excellent! thanks :)

  • May you be blessed by one thousand blessings. .This is made by Jampa Gyatso.

  • too modern

  • Although this mantra may sound "modern" it reminds me of a mixture of gothic chants and buddhist mantra. I like this combination.
