I truly believe that a lot of people would enjoy Asheron's call. But, unfortunately, Turbine (the current owners of the game) don't have a decent advertising campaign going for it, and never did have.

Just think about it: The game has had paying subscribers for nearly 13 years now... it has to have something going for it :P.

They currently have a 14 day free trial option available, and I would appreciate if you checked it out.

Hey Jerma, have a suggestion for your "Unknown" series: Asheron's call.

Asheron's call is an MMORPG which was introduced in 1999, and (in my opinion) has the best gameplay/storyline/ character customization (not in terms of appearance, but in terms of what they can do) of any MMORPG.

Definitely Star Wars Battlefront 2. It's such a great game with such great class-based FPS combat, the graphics aren't half bad considering it's from 2005, the singleplayer campaign is quite stellar as well, there's a hero system so you get to play as the Jedi occasionally, AND it's on Steam sale today. I definitely recommend picking it up.

Here are some great suggestions:

S.T.A.L.K.E.R- series. RPG that sets into Chernobyl with huge plot. "The Zone" is filled with mutants, factions & artifacts. One of the atmospheres ever made. I'd go with Call of Pripyat, but if you want lore, go with Shadow of Chernobyl.

Second one is Men Of War: Assault squad. My favorite strategy game of all time and its quite recent as well.

I'd like to suggest Metro 2033. It's recent, but fell off the radar pretty quickly, despite having a sequel releasing fairly soon. It's a great shooter, with a haunting atmosphere, and is based off of an amazing Russian novel of the same name. Totally worth the money I spent during a Steam sale, but I am disappointed that I've never seen anyone discuss it online.
