    This video

  • @lanegane1 so fucking original

  • End of the day it was stupid to risk it, whether red was the right call or not. Just drag him out by the collar. It's like Ferris' tackle v Wales - whether or not it was a penalty/card, why risk picking a player up and tipping him at all in that situation.

I do hate the double standards in NZ though. In the 2003 tour, when England beat NZ down under, Josh Lewsey had his faced stamped to pieces by the All Blacks. It was clear to see on camera. Did the NZRFU prosecute one of their players? No.

  • Love how all the Kiwis are bitching about this, like you haven't got the biggest thug in rugby, Kevin Mealamu, playing for your team. The fact he's even still employed is a fucking travesty.

Also, where's the knee to the head? By my viewing Shaw catches him on the shoulder, his knee is nowhere near his head.

  • Comment removed

  • I love how bias English commentary is (and the idiots on Youtube). Simon Shaw leads in with a knee on Robinson (who is defensless), Spencer pushes him off and gets a cheap shot from Dallaglio. It was a good sending off.

  • 00:51 kill him kill him ??!!!?!?!?

  • @joedaATHswan4ever i think possibly kill it kill it? might just be the kiwi accent

  • he english. that all you have to say

  • the kiwi shouldn't of been in the way tbh, but rules are rules you can't use your knee like that. but yellow at most never a red. the kiwi 10 should of been off for his reaction.

  • @harataikiphilosopher what, for trying to stop a player kneeing his teammate in the head? that makes no sense, all spencer did was push shaw away from the player he was kneeing, a reaction that any player would do if they saw someone kneeing their teammate

  • @CalluW yes but the proper and within the rules reaction would be to shout at the ref pointing out the infraction and let the ref deal with it. in the EM Derby the other week Tom Wood was sent off for reacting to a Tiger who started beating on Chris Ashton, if he'd let the ref deal with it, he wouldn't of got the red card. Shaw shouldn't of dropped the Knee the kiwi shouldn't of been in the way first off, and the other kiwi shouldn't of taken the rules into his own hands.

  • @harataikiphilosopher that's a completely different incident, did tom wood react in such a way that was violent or just preventative of violence? spencer stopped shaw from further harming a player, wood continued the brawl

  • @harataikiphilosopher and the tiger you're thinking of is alesana tuilagi, who after video replay you can see never threw a single punch

  • @CalluW it doesn't matter whether to reaction is violent or not, its not the players place to get involved, and you can't say that the 10 was preventing violence as he created a situation where the violence escalated and no Tuilagi didn't throw a punch but don't get me started on that game, the fucking RFU are so in the Tigers pocket its unreal.

  • @harataikiphilosopher you say that 10 escalated the violence, and i say that england 8 did that with his blindside hit and grabbing spencer's face. spencer was looking out for his team, while shaw was looking to cause harm.

and if the tigers have the RFU in their pocket, why did tuilagi get carded at all? quite a strong call there

  • What a team that was, men amongst boys. Slightly embarassing when you look at our team now, four years team to mature (and I mean mature) into a world cup winning team.

  • Shaw took his own press as a hard man to heart. Should have tried to be more of a smart man as well (like Johnson). I remember this game. I laughed. What an idiot.

  • white dont mind getting stuck in

  • jabberwockynz, I have just stated a fact. Humans react in different ways to things. Everyone on here is calling this player and that player a dirty this and that. None of them are, a little stupid perhaps, but then no more so than a lot of people on here making comments. Anyone on here that has played the game knows you play hard but you don't intentionally try to injure anyone. Have a good day, and try not to let bigotry cloud your judgement, you'll find life less stressful :)

  • @CPDutch I think that is the difference here though. Shaw is deliberately using his knee to injure another player, which the disciplinary board accepted when he was banned (again!). Shaw has a history of thuggery as well.

  • hahahahaa...loving Tana's response at the 2:01 mark! :)

  • I'm English by the way, just to prove I'm not biased. It doesn't matter what went before, the decision by the referee was 100% correct. Once again the officials get it spot on. The standard of refereeing in rugby is actually very good when you think how many players are all congested together in a small area. Well done to the officials

  • ab deserved it. cheating cunts!

  • CP Dutch you are an idiot.....blatant dirty play by Shaw. Dont ry to justify it

  • Here we go again with the poms moaning and moaning, bringing up the odriscoll incident, AB's cheating etc, etc....

End of the day, the AB's have been and will always be the superior rugby team. Let me beat you to your arguement - win a world cup..fair enough. We have, and when we win this years, what will be your arguement there after.

The AB's only get so much attention because of bitter losing nations. Attention, good or bad is the biggest compliment.

Moan some more Poms. Its entertaining

  • @shaveyourfingers"the AB's have been and will always be the superior rugby team". Let's look at their record in the world cup, the sole competition designed to determine who is the superior rugby team in the world. 87 - winners. 91 - semis. 95 - second. 99 - semis. 03 - semis. 07 - quarters. The measure of a team is how they stand up in the biggest stage of all. I would agree that the AB's have the best players in the world, but as a team they've consistently come up short when it matters.

  • @celt999 Your grasping at straws now. Mate they've won. Enough said. No one gives a shit about 2nd, 3rd etc. ABs win more games than they loose year in and year out. Tell me another international team in any sport at the highest of levels win as many games consistantly since the game was introduced. When they win this years, what will be your argument then? It wil just be another bit of silverware in the cabinet to confirm that the ABs are ranked no.1 by the IRB every year.

    desperate moaners

  • @shaveyourfingers Who is moaning? If the AB's stand up when it really counts then I'd be the first to say that they're the superior rugby team. As it is, substandard performances when it really counts against the French twice, Australia twice and South Africa once means that they can't be classed as world champions. If they win this year, well, it will be about time.

  • @celt999 So other countries that didnt win also have substandard performances? Or just the ABs? You like to point out the ones they lost because you like evryone else expect so much more from them. Hence why everyone goes on about the ABs failures at the wc more than any other country. Nit picking from the rugby public is simply confirming that they are consistantly the best team year in year out.

Every game counts, not just wc tests.

  • I'm Dutch, and neutral. I stand by my comment. The fact you use abuse says more about you being a bigot, and a little immature. Can't say I'm surprised, there seems to be a lot of "keyboard hardmen" on here. As I said his actions were wrong, but not surprising to react in frustration, after all look at your own reaction to a comment you don't agree with!

  • @HansdaMan74

it waz a fucking dirty cheap shot

    u ignorant pom

  • lol if the Kiwis think that was 'violent'. They clearly hadn't seen much of the goings on of the empire :P Want violence on the rugby pitch? Watch Umaga and Mealamu nearly kill O'driscoll you wankers. Should be in fucking jail. Go Shaw.

  • @jackass40mile Or how about when, only a year before, Lewsey's face was stamped on repeatedly in the game in Wellington?

  • @jackass40mile there are so many situations in a game of rugby that can be nitpicked for poor sportsmanship and this is the one that is constantly brought up again and again. first, i'll start by saying get over it - it happened 5 years ago just about and the two players who flipped him have had (apart from that one particular incident) flawless careers. second, with players like Tuilagi, Lawes and Ashton on the england squad you can't exactly moan and groan about the 'thugs' on other teams.

  • the best part of this vid is when delaglio smashes spencer into the ruck after he tries to take on shaw. Shaw is a legend but delaglio is a saint

  • @HansdaMan73 perfect example of the double standard towards the kiwis, spencer pushes a player injuring his teammate away so he can't do it so he's a thug, but delaglio hits spencer with a cheap shot so he's a saint.

  • SHAW=Big Dopey Bastard

  • i love it why English commentators make every tackle seem like the best one ever. They are clearly FULL OF SHITE

  • wouldve been alright if he wore a helmet...

  • Check out Umaga after the red card.

  • Fuck of england

  • @Token825 token cunt

  • @piraterock87 Buttpirate

  • @Token825 haha!! played.

  • @piraterock87 Good dude man

  • @Token825

Three words, two errors. Pretty impressive!

  • @Token825 cheating fucking all blacks....bought the ref again.what about the attempted murder of brian driscoll.sheepshagging bastards.shaw should have ripped umagas face off.

  • @junkman19571 Haha OOOOOOOOH poor little junkman can't handle the all blacks. You sound like a whiney bitch. Of the 34 games NZ and England have played, we have won 27 of them. Your pathetic excuse of 'buying the ref' is bullshit. How about you pull the stick that seems lodged firmly up your backside and admit that more often than not the all blacks play an awesome game, with an intent to attack. Take your fucking drop goals somewhere else fag. Shaw could have. But he didn't. Therefore fuck off

  • getting away with constantly stifling ball at the breakdown in danger areas and they still cant win a world cup haha ok shaw did something stupid but its just ANOTHER vid of new zealand players killing ball at breakdowns when there on the back foot samething happend to heaslip

  • @jdofb whats that about not winning a world cup?

  • Not a red card in my view. Ref ruined this as a contest. Look at Umaga reacting like a footballer...of course...he never won a wcup with the All Blacks...

  • @xpat73 malicious intent, it was at the refs discretion to show a red or yellow - and frankly you can't really get more malicious than lining a player up and kneeing him in the head. and also, how many world cups have you won? back in your box

  • Check Justin Marshall kicking the prop in around the 0:41 mark

  • Shaw what a bitch, knees Robbo in the back while he's trapped, then as soon as theres retaliation hides behind everyone.

  • Omg.. I remember this. this was not worth a red card. come on..

    a Penalty at the most..

does anyone have the footage of

Danny Grewcock kicking Anton Oliver on the head ??

  • @GrungeRocker1000 Dangerous play it probably was worth a yellow, I don't think it was worth the red. Whatever the penalty should have been the situation should never have arisen as the referee frequently failed to penalise deliberate obstruction in this match. Yellow cards should have been given several times to the ABs for deliberate infringements.

  • @senluijr you can say that in retrospect, but you forget that Shaw was sent off 10 minutes into the match - you can call the ABs a bunch of cheaters as much as you want, but the number opportunities to show the ABs yellow 10 minutes into a game certainly can't be very high so that instance was totally on shaw. and he deserved red, all form of malicious dangerous play deserve red, and you can't get very much more malicious than lining someone up and then kneeing them in the head multiple times.

  • @CalluW a deliberate or 'professional' foul is a yellow, notice how number 5 is not even spoken to for his deliberate infringement. The ABs were allowed to lie all over the ball without penalties let alone the yellow cards that the rules dictate for deliberate fouls. I count 4 rucks in 30 seconds so potentially we could easily be looking at 30+ rucks so far in the game, plenty. AB No. 8 goes into a ruck from the side in this video. someone (I think no. 4) holds a potential tackler back

  • @senluijr a deliberate or 'professional' foul is a yellow or a red at the discretion of the ref, taken straight from the IRB rulebook. In this case, the ref deems it worthy of a red card as he feels the intent behind the action is malicious - which it clearly was.

  • @CalluW yet the deliberate offsides and fouls by the ABs I mentioned (which you ignored) were not even penalised. Your statement about only being 10 minutes into the game is practically irrelevant 10 mintues is plenty long enough. Oh and where is the second knee, not managed to find multiple in the video.

  • @senluijr shaw doesn't put his leg on the ground, but he does connect with the players head twice - hence the second knee. and frankly, who cares if the ABs did infringe or not - sure, if they did the players would get frustrated, but at a professional player representing your country on the international stage you shouldn't let yourself fall to the level that you would stupidly knee someone. and put it this way, offsides and fouls or knee to the head twice, which is worse?

  • Considering the amount of continuous obstructions by New Zealand ( it's a big part of their play, always has been) shaw probably reacted in frustration, wrong but not surprising.

  • @CPDutch ...what a pile of shit...you are jealous you always get thrashed by the ABs. If an Englishman commiits thuggery you justify it...and make out he's tough......if a Kiwi does he's just a thug. You are a typical two faced English rugby fan!

  • @CPDutch You are right, its not surprising given the thug Shaw is! Trying to knee another player in the head...what a man!

  • @CPDutch the amount of continuous obstructions, 10 minutes into a game? shaw acted on his own accord, and the claim of 'his frustration' has nothing to support it - he got what he had coming.

  • Love it!!! Dally, Shaw, Julian, and the boys beating up the Blacks!!! WWWWOOOOO

  • @DRSTRANGELOVE105 i wonder who won..........?

  • @DRSTRANGELOVE105 racist

  • To be fair Shaw got what was coming, acts like that could cause needless injury and have no place in rugby. I did however love dallaglio's reaction lol

  • bull shit that was ever a red card

  • never ever a red, not even a yellow, severe warning

  • @hmmm098 KNEEING A HUMAN IN THE HEAD you fucking mongo
