Only fear is dangerous. Realize please that love is a language spoken by all beings. If you mistreat a young human he will have a problematical behavior later on. Same with animals, where people hunt them they become stressed, afraid and aggressive. But if you live in harmony with them, they are no threat. To make a further point, when in my house i was hunting roaches they were panicking when they felt me or i was switching on the light. When i stopped hunting them and they were always calm.

@Doloress2305 all right now, i informed myself about this mysterious girl. It seems like she had some actual contact to wild animals - but most of them are actually fake. And that´s no surprise; Even an experienced wildlife psycholigst wont walk over to a wild leopard and pet him.

The elephant was a trained one (backcover of the book), the austrich came from a farm, and many of the animals are according to her parents "raised by the locals".
