  • so cute! where did you get your betta?

  • you need a larger tank. i put my betta in a 5 gal and hes soooo happy

  • i luv your tank

  • @MrLoganator111 it's Siamese fighting fish you idiot. And they aren't that vicous. @crazyleemer1 ---- they're compatible, along with ghost shrimp and snails

  • i thought dinner time meant bye bye froggie. another name for a beta is a chinese fighting fish...

  • why are they togater bad ida

  • I had them before, too. Except my frog got too big and ate my betta...

  • my cat killed my dwarf frog last night!!!! im so angry i loved him. tear:(

  • yay to ADFs! Love 'em

  • Comment removed

  • adf shut up they need gallon read up dumb fart

  • the betta should be in at least a 5 gallon if hes by himself. the frogs should be kept in groups of 3 or more.get a 10 gallon and 2-4 more frogs.

  • @ADFsrule This video is a few years old, on one of my newer videos I noted that I did actually give my frog to a friend who keeps a group of them in their own tank. and while it is always possible to go bigger I am content with the 3 gallon tank. It suits both my needs and the fishes, my fish have long happy lives in these tanks. they were one of my best purchases, esp. since the series is hard to come by now.

  • @Clayzgurl can you estimate how big your betta is cause i have the same exact one (color) and he is kinda small

  • thet betta looks like my pet betta his name is Blue Pheonix

  • awesome tank, great mix too who would have thought a frog in with bettas nice

  • its nice to see you arnt a ass and have a huge tank for that fish i hate when people use a small bowl think if you whare that fish. my self i have 3 betas 2 femails in a 10 with some other fish and 1 mail crowntail in a 3 gal.

  • Oh my freakin gosh, a frog with a betta? Cool! I'm thinkin I might get one, or somethin.. one more critter to join the 3.. Betta and 2 shrimp.. I'm thinkin 2 community fish, but a frog is cool too. :o and a MOSS BALL? U can make moss live in ur tank? :o I want moss in my tank!!! :( idk how to get it tho.

  • I have a betta thats super mean and picks on these plastic rock things, he attacked a snail I had in there, I cant turn on the light cause he attacks his reflection and then 1 day I got him a ADF and he mellowed out and sounds weard but him and the frog are like best friends? in fact I took the frog out and put him in a diff tank 1 day and my betta had a fit! he was looking every where for his frog friend so I put the frog back, and my betta like I said was super mean and now hes all mellow

  • @whiteboypatrickkelly LOL that is awesome. Fish are really all different....even bettas, my meanest ones were the FEMALES I've had....Cedric (current male) is pretty mellow and all alone in his 2.5 gallon tank; he'll be moving up to a 5 or 10 soon, prolly with a few coolies. He's the only betta' that's ever survived in my big tank for more than a few days; 55 gallon tank seemed to always have some nasty bacterial that ONLY affected the bettas...

  • plzz plzz plzz what the first sone the one from 0:00 to 0:12???? help!!

  • @krustypunk3it is a track off of the show "dr. horribles sing-along-blog" by joss whedon called "brand new day"

  • i had a female beta nammed suhi and my sis killed it by overfeeding :(

  • just got 2 6 hrs ago. luckly my betta is laid back so are the frogs

  • @bettafishlover14 thats awesome! hope everything stay good.

  • where can you get moss balls !?!?!

  • @bettafishlover14 i just got mine from petland

  • do they get along

  • @bettafishlover14the only time there is any problems is sometimes during feeding time.i have to keep a watch on the frog as he can get nippy when the betta is trying to eat some of the worms. but other than that i have seen no problems and neither has any evidence of fighting on them.but it also depends on how aggressive they are as it can differ for every fish or frog

  • @PaulieArr i got them from a local pet store but i know the both the petsmart and petland in my city also carry them usually

  • What is the neat song in the very begining ?

  • @HelloMidnightChaos it is a track off of the show "dr. horribles sing-along-blog" by joss whedon called "brand new day"

    - i think the whole show has been posted on youtube by now

  • @Clayzgurl: how do you keep the worms at the bottom? :(

  • @AppleAddict28 well first of all you have to use frozen bloodworms, not the freeze-dried kind in the jars. frozen ones can be bought at most pet stores, usually in tablet form. i break a small chunk off a tablet and thaw it out in a small container w/ warm water. i use a turkey baster i got at the dollar store to suck it up, and then put it in the tank in the bowls/dishes on the bottom of the tank. if you squeeze gently the worms will slowly come out and stay at the bottom. hopefully this helps.

  • where did you get the moss ball?

  • Haha, my dwarf frog nips onto the end of my Betta's tail and hitches a ride :P Don't worry no harm came to the tail ^^

  • what are those green balls? and what are they for?

  • LOL, 1:23 "What you looking at fool? Bring it on blud!" :P

  • whats the song in the begining

  • My betta killed my frog....is there a way for that not to happen?

  • 0:27 00:39 my betta does that 2 what does it mean???? plzzzzz answer

  • Can a african dwarf frog live with a betta in the same enviroment as my betta (with no filter)

and if so, how much do dwarf frogs cost?

  • can you have one in a fluval edge tank?

  • have you found out what type of moss henrietta is? i want one like that and is it hard to take care of?

  • @MrsShannoncullen another poster informed me what type of moss ball it is,

"The "moss" ball is called Marimo moss, which is actually a type of algae called cladophora"

  • I have 2 african dwarf frogs in one cube shaped tank and my betta in a large bowl.

  • hey does your fish fight with your frog?

  • what is the very first song

  • I reccomend taking your Frog to Hollywood to be a to Star in a action movie, he is trying to tell you at 1:11!

  • I have dwarf frog 2

  • i bought freeze dried bloodworm and they dont look like that are those freeze dried? also mine dont sink they just float

  • How much did the frog cost at pets at home?

  • I know this is a little late to tell you, but I would suggest having more then one Dwarf African Frog in a tank. They are very social animals and do much better with more of their kind.

I just love these frogs though. I love the way they swim and behave. I have three myself and one time they all spread out in the same position and floated to the top at the same time. So awesome :D

  • wont the frog die it hase no oxgine

  • good setup! thanks for sharing your beloved friends, its good knowing that people care enough to spend time and energy on their small pets! Good job!

  • Give your frog a place to hide under..mine loves its rock!!!!!!!!!!xD cool tank setup

  • k thks

  • Beautiful fish and tank. Those two make an adorable pair!! =]

  • don't do that. They will fight 2 death

  • Dammit! 2:33 seconds of my life wasted. I kept waiting for the frog to give the fish a right hook.

  • where would u reccomend buying food fron cause i just got two yesterday dut i dont have any food for them

  • @Goop023 i use frozen bloodworms as the main food. they can usually be purchased at most pet stores (esp. the large chain ones like petland, petsmart, ect.)

  • YOU NEED TO FIGURE OUT WHAT KIND OF MOSS HENRIETTA IS! That is a great name for a moss ball, made me laugh :D

  • Do these two fight? Like the person who asked below me..I'm wondering if they would just go at at because Betta's are very intense fightters.

  • How big is your tank? cus i was wondering if i could fit a frog or two with my betta, mines a 4-5 gallon with filtration.

  • @XxKittyxXxCatxX a 4-5 gallon should should be plenty for a frog or two, but probably no more. i have read there is a gallon per frog rule but i do not believe myself that that is enough room. my tanks are 3 gallons so i wouldn't put more than one in mine probably.

  • @Clayzgurl Yeah i found a poor little frog starving to death in pets at home, i just had to take him! His legs were thinner than cocktail sticks it was scary but hes put on weight and recovered =) They get along great and i even will be upgrading them to a 10 gallon and getting another frog and adding my 4 corys from another tank ^^ Your betta is so pretty btw =)

  • 1:11 ....ahahahahahah

  • hey guys come see my betta fish!!

  • Frog = NOMNOM NOM!!!

  • omg! ur fish is extremly cute for some reason to me! :D

  • you should get a second frog if your tank has a filter, if not GET one. I would only keep 2 dwarf frogs, a betta, and POSSIBLY a single small fish. Do NOT get goldfish or schooling fish, definitely get a 2 frog though...

    ~wrinkster22

  • I like this, you obviously care for your pets :)

  • Hey guys i just made some vids on my new betta! come check them out! Subscribe to my channel please =)

  • Hey, african dwarf frogs should be kept with at least one more dwarf frog. Search them up on Wikipedia.

  • i had a dwarf frog and his name was Og! he was named after my faveorite book when i was young "the secret world of Og" kinda miss him... did you know these lil guys can live up to about 20- 30 years?

  • nah uh!!! for real!!! i just bought two today!!

    thats soo kool!!!

check out my vid im about to put up of them!

  • @mabjdp They can??? I didn't know that. I just got one yesterday and they man at the pet store said they only lived about 2 years. I'm not sure if he really knew that much about dwarf frogs though.

  • @TheBunnyluver99 i dont know for sure if the dwarfs live that long but i know for sure the albino clawed frogs live that long but i thought that because they so similar i would guess they would have the same age limit

  • my beta looks the same as your beta fish

    she died:(

  • :-( I'm sorry you lost her, but she seems to have had a loving owner, so she must have had a good life :-D

  • @KatMays379 thanks:-)

  • @eliseo07206 if your beta looks like that then it means its a boy females are small and dont have long pretty fins. i have a female and nine males... i thought one was a female because 'she' had short fins and because my mom had 'her' with another male for a couple months.

we're still not sure if it is a girl or boy but 'she's' startin to show a more butchy side now so we call her the tranny fish

  • @mabjdp tranny fish, that made my day! lol

  • Do you have any issues with the Betta and the frog? Any agression from either? I've adopted a betta from someone in a 5 gallon tank and someone else offered me his two African dwarf's. I said I'd take them if I could, but I don't have another tank and can't afford a new set up right now.

Any suggestions for someone interested in this? Is 5 gallons too small?

  • the only time there is any problems is sometimes during feeding time.i have to keep a watch on the frog as he can get nippy when the betta is trying to eat some of the worms. but other than that i have seen no problems and neither has any evidence of fighting on them.but it also depends on how aggressive the betta is as it can differ for every fish or frog. and i think that a 5 gall is a good size for 1-2 frogs.

  • @KatMays379 I do not have any issues with my betta and dwarf frog. They get along great. :)

  • You should keep african dwarf frogs in at least pairs, preferably more.

  • The "moss" ball is called Marimo moss, which is actually a type of algae called cladophora.

  • has your betta been ok with the frog? i wanted to get a betta (male) to put with my frog but the petsmart person said the betta might eat the frog :(

  • @lovemyplaidjacket,

It might, although probably won't. It's hard to say because some bettas are aggresive while others are quite calm, it really depends. If you remove the betta then put in the african dwarf frog, then put the betta back in it should be fine.

P.s. also try to make sure that they betta is a female and that the betta and frog are similar in size, that way you shouldn't have a problem.

  • lol my betta looks the same (with the red tint on the bottom fin, and the red front fin thing) just that he's a crowntail

  • i had like 3 of those frogs but they died :(

  • how did they die ?

  • It would be best if you feed them separately because they both are carnivourous and can get very compeditive when its dinner time. : )

  • AWESOME FISH! I think its called a Japanese Balls.

  • no a betta fish!!!!

  • what song is in the very begginging

  • nice tank. i have a question ( i know some of you african dwarf frog owners have had these frogs for years and are experts but I just got my first 2 frogs today so cut me some slack) do the frogs breathe underwater?

  • @Meezlyfoy

Im not the expert, but i have seen the african dwarf frogs all the time. They go up for air and then go down. So they dont breath underwater :) so if you have a tank already, fill the tank up but leave 2 inches or so for them to go up and get water.

Question: Do they have to have a filter?

  • they do not need a filter in their tank, and i would not put one, since their tiny limbs may get stuck and they could possible die by not being able to go up for air if they get stuck! The tank should not get too dirty, if you don't dunk a ton of food in that they do not eat. Just make sure to replace water and rinse tank every few months :)

  • im no expert, but i believe that the frogs go up to the surface to get air then go back down under water.

  • do the african dwarf frogs need a filter ? ?

    because i might get one

  • no ovious that they live in a pond so i think no

  • they can actually live to 18 yrs very good care

  • Lol! Cant forget the moss ball!!!!!!

  • Betta: "This is MY tank...mine"

  • the frog is all like" hey hey hey this is my food now get away" and the fish is like must find a way to get bloodworms

  • My betta look like yours :3

  • how do u tell if its male or female

  • their tails. males have longer tails than females in most species.

  • My betta is pink with red stripes going down to its transparent fin.. it gorgeous,,,,,,,, nice tank

  • nice tank my tank has nothing in it yet we r looking for rocks! happy halloween

  • i hav 2 dwarf frogs but no fish. when they die im getting a green anole lizard. how long do dwarf frogs live anyways?

  • up to 5 years with good care

  • You betta is beautiful and you frog looks happy too. Anyway I know this is sort of off topic, but what is the first song that plays during your video? I really like it.

  • it is a track off of the show "dr. horribles sing-along-blog" by joss whedon called "brand new day"

    - i think the whole show has been posted on youtube by now

  • how cute@

  • me and my brother have a betta mine is swimmy and i don`t know what the other one is

  • unless you just got your betta curled fins is a sign of bad water quality do a 50% water change and his fins should open up in a day or two

  • How big would you say your frog is? Like what would you compare it to?

I have 2 in a 10 gallon tank and they seem very small to me...mine are about the size of a penny from nose to ..um..butt.

  • i would say mine might be a little bigger-probably around an inch or so. which is about the average since they are pretty small.

  • they are supposed to stay 1.0inches. females get to 1.25inchs though.

  • eh question. i had 2 dwarf african frog and i had them for like 6 weeks. then one started to become all like weak and stuff and wouldnt eat...then the next day they just both died : / u think i no what happened or is just cuz it was sick maybe?

  • i got 5 of them frogs they really ful i have then in a tall tank and they swim to the top and jump out of the water a lil and swim back down

  • tall tanks are bad for these frogs. they need to swim up to the surface for air often, and they are not good swimmers. you should get a longer tank not a tall. i suggest turning it on its side?

  • i've had them in there more than 3 months now and they've grown as well. they swim alot i dont see them struggling. when its feeding time they love to swim to the top. there fully aquatic as i've been told by my pet store so they dont need air to gulp often.

  • what is the song

  • if you mean the first one-it is a track off of the show "Dr. Horribles sing-along-blog"

  • i have a beetta tank and just put the same frog in it as well . What do yo ufeed your frog ? The guy at the pet stote said it will eat the betta food !?

  • it depends which type of betta food your talking about, for instance i have never seen them eat betta pellets. i feed the frog a little piece of frozen blood worms(thawed in warm water) which my betta can eat too. they might eat the freeze dried worms but i have never seen him go to the top to do so.

  • i dont think you are meant to keep betas and frogs together! it seems to be alright now but wen it gets bigger be careful! it may nip!!

  • woah that is the exact color of my betta and i have a african dwarf frog too so if we switched it would never seem like they were switched thats crazy

  • thats a Marimo Ball

  • cool-thanks!

  • hes like mine that just died like 5 minutes ago.

  • I think bettas are beutiful but they r just a little to lazy thats y i dont have one but i do have 2 dwarf frogs =)

  • please be careful, the frog will try to snap at the betta's flowing ins, if not now, when he is bigger

  • Nice tank! Way better than mine.

  • Nice/ Heated?

  • thankx! - no it isn't but we keep our house pretty warm and i find if i leave the light on for a while it will help keep the tank warm enough without overheating it like a heater might do in a small tank

  • only 5 gallon + tanks will need to be heated.

  • what else does the frog eat?

  • the frog mainly eats frozen bloodworms-but sometimes gets frozen tubifex worms or other fish food that drifts down(like daphnia)

  • cool. thanks for the info. im considoring getting one. first i a m looking at all of the info first. um how would u feed them the blood worms? wouldnt they fly all over?

  • I had a albino version of the dawrf frog for 7 years but it jsut recently died so i can help you out. Before even thinking of getting one make sure you have no fish smaller than 4 inches Besides algae eaters because it will eat it.Blook worms are in a cube form and dont move until 3 mins later when they saw out. When i fed blood worms my frog who was pretty big would gulp down the whole cube lol they are pretty cool though.

  • aww im sorry :( awesome. thanx for the advice. im gathering all that i can find just to give the best home - u no. :)

  • u had a good intent tho =]

  • The frogs a girl, right? :D

  • One of my bettas (Rumblefish) looks exacly like sushimi

  • Aw, cute vid. I love your bettas name. =3

  • tey bothe eat blood worms right??

  • yes- i also feed freezedried worms to the fish regularly(along with a few other types of food) while the frog mainly just gets the frozen/thawed worms like in the video.

  • aww! awsome!

  • Very cute little tank, im sure both inhabitants are very happy! 5* It's a shame that you cant get african dwarf frogs in australia (were i live)

  • thanks for the comments! they do get along well, but sometimes the froggie gets annoyed with the fish trying to eat his food(fish gets other things that the frog doesn't) so im watching out for that lol

  • very cute! nice setup!
