I remember when i firsted watched this drama a couple years ago i was kinda creeped out about it because of the eerie music and the twin and the mother and everything, Especially when your in the room and all the lights are off and just the comp light is on. Even though i knew what was gonna happen because i read the books lol.

In their own sense, Qi Luo (Kira) was already fascinated by the fact that Ling (Rei) is kinda like the Roman God of war Mars, a dark hero who helped people overcome their tragedy, who saved her from the teacher. In the very beginning, that was the very essence of this story.

Listen to what-was-her-name-again's explanation. Mars was the god of war, but he was actually quite gentle and kind. He was a saviour for many people and not just one who destructs as you may think at first glance. Ling is exactly like that, but she sees through that and beyond the surface.
