@WaxHeadroom ilove synthpunkism to the max ;) born in 1980, you are completly right...the 80's have so much optimism in their way. like calm before storm
I grew up with ODW right here in my hometown, Vacaville, California. Layne Rico's family publish The REPORTER (Vacaville's Newspaper). In 1981 I worked for the Newspaper as a Stringer Photographer and it gave me opportunity to meet Layne & Keith Silva. I knew the first time I saw them live in San Francisco about '82 at this Hella Gay Club called The I-Beam, I was a fan for life! It was so unreal to see two people make so much music and put on a great show! I listen to ODW everyday non-stop 24-7!
I remember seeing ODW many many years years ago back on "Nightflight" on USA network and being amazed how they played so tight with no sequencers and the the Synare Percussion synth was so cool to see someone play and play it well . Amazing Would love to see "Target for Life" live too.
ps: and moog is to nice hrhrhrhrhr

Saw them open for Iggy Pop in 1981 in Toronto - Bought the Digital Cowboy Album the next day.
Stands the test of time - plus they kick the shit out of all those UK synth bands ETC.
Great Post!!!!!!!!!

I can tell you to be 22 at this time was beyond insane. Give it 50 - 80 years the cycle circles again.

@spiek I was born in 1983, I know what you mean....but being a kid in that era was
just as cool. The way of life throughout the 80s should have never left. We've only
gone far far down hill since.
