With that said, can anyone give a reasonable explanation as to why these scraps break out in the first place? Sometimes you can see the two guys talking before they throw their gloves off, not talkin shit but talking like they are giving each other the heads up, like "hey i'm going to start throwin punches..." Is it a team morale booster technique? is it for the fans? why do the fights sometimes look almost set-up between players? anyone know?

Teams have tough guys who fight to stop players from the other team from harassing there skilled players. Also when the crowd and his team are quiet it's his job to start a fight to wake them up and give them energy.

Crombeen is a passy. HE didn't even take off his helmet like the pros do. I like how columbus dude just took like 10 hits before he spazzd out. Ask me it looked like Cheesy Doritios was fighting the Fighting Pepsi Can.somewhat good. The Mccarthy or whatever fight was huge cause the dude had blood all over his face or eye. I think potential fight last night would have been good if the ref didn't interfer and so did the other player . Would have been nice to see a real fight.

Im sorry but thier not bottom dwelling anymore. Even though they need alot of help by other teams to get into the playoffs (and probably wont) you still have to give the Blues and all of the young players who have been thrown into the mix way before they were supposed to be credit. Getting points in 8 of the last 10 isnt something to take lightly, esp with all of the key players that have been lost for extended periods of time, if not the whole season.
