Hey did you ever get this figured out? Is it normal? I recently adjusted and cleaned my chain and it does the same thing. I'm thinking I need to reapply lube, but I'm not sure.

ive got the little sister, GS 500 and im 100% sure its normal. In 1º gear every bike must do that, you have to have in mind its the slowest gear and that the chain is not tense(due to the stand), even in 2º gear the bike should do something similar
add a washer to that side of the wheel ,

Maybe chain isn't tight enough? Looks flat black is that right? I was thinking of doing that to mine.
