I read many comments in this page and everywhere are words full of hate and sickness. Someone hate satanism, other hate christianism. This is realy matter what i believe or don't believe?! For me only music is important, and this song is just brilliant. One of the best song in metal history. Quorthon was a genius. And comments should be not about the religion, but music. @Northernmight You are combining Christianity with Catholicism. The Catholics were the ones who tried to eliminate every other religion. Yes, Catholicism is considered to be Christian, but remember they place the virgin Mary almost above God himself, so there is a unique difference.

@scorpian256 Quite frankly, the base mentality is still the same. if you look at any monotheistic religion, it follows the same basic pattern, and when you take human psychology into consideration, you can see that it both puts brakes on both Mental Evelution and Understanding aswell as Cultural Growth. When you look at Ancient religions, these are about finding answers, it is about being able to indentify yourself with all around you. Balance. Monotheistic religion is imbalance.

I agree. This song shows us how much bad religion is. Christianity has always been a conformist and brutal religion, and the stories told in this song are all true. The Christianization of Norway was violent and bloody, and the Christians forced the people to conform to a different way of life that they did not want, and tortured them in the process. The sad part about this episode is that these Christians actually thought they were doing good to these people. Religion should be destroyed.
