i totally disagree, with Mr. Johnson the pot. i used to smoke alot of weed. if they legalized it i would buy some for the sake of buying some, its like buying a lotto ticket when you turn 18. but i would grow it on my own, its a good hobby IMO, and alot of my buddies and old buddies have the same mindset on this as me. but that is if i wanted to smoke it lol.

Well, if you cut Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, and Military by equal percentages you decrease the quality of life for citizens. Yes, you balance the budget, but when is the last time you personally got anything good from the USA having a balanced budget? I like the Marijuana idea though.

@UlfrIronwood - That depends how you cut it. On health care and education, much of the money comes to the states with strings attached. Remove the strings and give full power to the states and costs and therefore spending drops dramatically. On Social Security, you don't cut current benefits, you cut how new benefits will be applied though means testing, raising the age as we are living longer, and through changing the scale for increases to one that is fiscally sound.

@UlfrIronwood - On the military, you cut spending by not interfering in civil wars like Libya which has unintended consequences and not engaging in needless wars like Iraq. We shouldn't be footing the bill to, "build nations" when we have those problems right here at home. In the 90's we got lower taxes from having a balanced budget. I don't know about you, but I think I can spend my money better than the FED can.

No Social Security = another 25% off taxes. No Military intervention when you personally get kidnapped by terrorists lol = another 25% off taxes.

There is already SO much support for a PAUL/JOHNSON ticket, this is a team that most Republicans, Libertarians, and and lot of Democrats can and will unite behind, this ticket has a better chance than anyone else including Obama/Biden after their miserable failures, broken promises, non-transparency, and outright betrayal. We also need to include Herman Cain in the debates, plus there's the benefit of added diversity that can perhaps bring over a lot of the minority votes.
