Very awesome technique, sadly I go rage-face everytime I see a dungeon and immediately try to kill it. Let's hope I come across another skelly one soon.
According to the minecraft forums, there's a limit to how far away I can be before they stop spawning. Something like 86 blocks away. So I'd say it's an overnight sort of thing if you wanted a whole bunch of them.
I used to make skeleton traps, then I took an arrow to the knee.

My mob grinder tower gets me more arrows than your spawner can. :D

@lvachon It's nuts the amount of crap my tower spits out at me. I'll never use up all these arrows, let alone the gun powder, string, and feathers.
