You know you can right click (on PC) to look around in your cockpit (<-keep it mature). Not sure what to do on console. Now for you who dont have flares, you should NOT try to outrun the missile, when you have to outrun the missile your already fucked (But it is possible just bloddy hard). The trick is to prevent yourself being locked on in the first place by slowing down and make quick unpredictable turns, if they have targeted you for a while, speed up and make a huge loop.

**READ IF YOU DONT HAVE FLARES** A nice way to earn flares is to just get in a jet and takedown helpless helicopters by doing little sweep runs. Just go towards it, take it down with your minigun, then go past it a long ways. Turn right or left like in the vid, then go straight towards it again. Keep doing this until you take down enough helicopters. Please thumbs this up to help people with no flares.

before you unlock rocket pods do the following to be the master of the sky:

- When looking for jets press R3 to enter 3rd person view *easier to find*

- when turning corner press R2 to slow down for easier turning

- use your main gun turret to take our other jets (great for takign out tanks too)

- Use flares (with stealth is good)

- When being locked on, fly low near trees and buildings

- DO NOT fly in a straight line

- When your in the parachute, you can use your stinger to kill enemy jets. :)

You should use your main gun to shoot down Jets. And use rocket pods to take out vehicles. Much more useful for your team.

Urgh I always get just so bloody much stinger missles and such after me. SOFLAM all over the place so can barelly lose them. Why didn't they just like in BF2 where only some AA guns (with a much MUCH smaller range), other jets and some AA emplacements. It was fine back then :(

Actually, I find the best way to turn is to Brake and Accelerate in increments of three seconds.

In other words: Right Trigger... Left Trigger... Right Trigger... etc.

@MrJazza171 Don't go for ground kills. I did the same thing. You want to strafe the enemy runway and try to disable a jet or heli that is open. Once a noob gets in it, KABOOM. You just got 300 points. You should get heat seekers then if you want ground kills the rocket pods.

@MrJazza171 You wont be using the missiles for kills anyway. The main gun for taking out air support is the standard gun that comes equipped. Its nothing but practice that will get those kills up.

@bruzewski heres what you do when your in an F-35 and there is a Flanker-Es behind you. you take them through a couse of maybe one or 2 turns then straightn out and hit the after burners.The other jet tailing you will then attempt to speed up too. as you start gaing speed Hold the hover button (Break) and aim down towards the ground the jet will see your slowing down and either try to shoot at you going to fast or will bail our of his shots. :)

@Draitex Bank, if the jet that is locking onto you is right behind you, bank. That is, make a 180 degree turn; if done fast, and properly enough, you should avoid the HS missiles.

@Rockingpure the machine gun is 10x more effective than the heat seekers once you learn how to use it. The heat seekers will only kill pilots who have no clue what they're doing. Any even slightly decent pilot will have flares. The only way to combat the MG is by outmaneuvering your opponent, so if you can lead them correctly, and stay on their tail, you're unbeatable.

I only use the rocket pods , with flares and air radar ... i go to maximum altitude and then dive bomb some objectives , sometimes i even press the "spot" button to spot some tanks while im dive bombing to clear the area for my squad ... really effective ... I only go after enemy jets if they're worth it , and they're actually attempting to shhot me down , but most of the time they don't =P

@DUKENUKEM6943 when you have the LOCK ON on the enemy air craft you just keep pressed the fire button until they both come out, but u still have to keep the view on the enemy to make it right, but sometimes u use both missiles and the enemy pumps flares none of them will hit, i guess ur talking about heat seekers right?

@ThePhoenixAffinity I know what you mean. It's pretty hard to tell how fast you're moving. But you can definitely tell the difference if you compare with another jet. You can also notice a difference in turn radius if you try and turn at different speeds. LT/L2 should be the break just like RT/R2 is accelerate. LS/L3 is afterburners for extra speed.

okay i've found a realllyyy helpful tip for new jet users, at least on xbox. if u constantly find yourself behind an enemy jet shooting at them with your gun but not getting any hits, then here's what u have to do. first you do need to get them in the small circle when youre in the cockpit. now heres the secret: when youre behind them you have to wiggle the right stick which gives your bullets a lot more spread. i observed this in a lot of gameplays then tried it and i got a kill within 1 min
