Instead of banning guns (which adversely affects law abiding citizens and helps criminals), why not make a law REQUIRING law abiding citizens to own firearms. Using published statistics, this would actually reduce crime. Criminals would think twice before committing an illegal act knowing their potential victim(s) are armed. The government wants to ban guns because they know that is the inefficient solution that will drain more money from taxpayers and justify their ever increasing budgets.
