  • The Gibson Les Paul, Marshall stack combo ....

  • its interesting that a tv show would let a band play for a little over 10 minutes (even though I know the show was on 1 in the morning)

  • He sure could play a guitar

  • @multishades1 he sure could...I put him right up there with Corky Thacher and his band..

  • Another great example of the incredible music of the seventies, great bands, great musicians and singers, it was great to be alive then, shared a few doobies then too!!

  • 10:40 Of pure magic. you just don't get this kind of entertainment any more...... thanks for a great vid and great quality .. subscribed ^5

  • young john bonham, was way better theohnam/lol

  • If you actually read the description it says

"5 channels covering all era's of Rock from Elvis to Lady Gaga"

I Didnt know that man could play the guitar

  • I still have the Vinyl. He didn't age well. Had a big crush on him in 76. So glad I didn't marry him. I crack myself up. So loved his music to "mellow out" LOL

  • best selling live album of all time demann666

  • @buudboy08 I'm not debating that bud boy. I am questioning his guitar playing capabilities which, even from my severely stoned mid 70's days, I found poorly lacking. He just dosn't stack up as a 70's rock guitar god. Like I said - he wrote a couple catchy tunes thats all.

  • @demann666 I agree He's like slowhand clapton. just sounds epic but obvs technique nothing like bonamassa's pentatonic

  • @demann666 also his guitar capabilities expands towards his ballad writing on his acoustic. They arent just colour chords that he's playing.

  • holy cow. A quick look at the drummer, and I thought it was a young John Bonham!! Could it be?

  • dude..please... the 2-3 min mark solo is simple pentatonic scales not played all that well. You are a professional player? congrats, but you have to admit, its fair...awesome? come on.... its kinda sappy all his shit..he's ok,just no technical wizard...and I didn't care who my girl had on her wall..

  • his chops and awesome tone on this video speak for themself. i've been a professional rock guitar player for 15 years, and for my money frampton is awesome!!

  • frampton a mediocre rock guitarist? anyone who says that after listening to this video from the 2-3 minute mark, i lose my respect for your opinion after that.

i think people who were anti-frampton in the 70s were pissed off cause all their girlfriends had their pictures on their wall and were fantasizing about him while they were trying to get their hands under their bra.

  • I have been playing guitar since 1973,so I kinda now my shit as a critic.. I lived those days..putz. I know who guitarists liked back then.. DO NOT EVER COMPARE THE CHOPS OF Frampton to Marino...ever...

  • demann666 is a mediocre at best critic who has stumbled across an arena (the you tube comment forum). Frampton has chops just as Marino, Lee, Trower, Bolin and Beck do. Smarten up, loser.

  • Frampton is a mediocre at best guitar player who happened upon a gimick (the voice box) all us stoners in the 70's liked for a minute on a couple decent tunes. Lines on my Face is ok. Just listen to all that other sappy shit. Show me the way - what the fuck is that shit?? You want 70's ROCK guitarists listen to Frank Marino,Alvin Lee Robin Trower Tommy Bolin and Jeff Beck

  • @demann666 you are a putz

  • boyoboyboy........does this bring back the memories......cruisin', parties, chicks.......m--m-m..

  • Superbe toute ma jeunesse !

  • Really a geat tradesman on the guitar. And of course this album was a monster.

Love Peter Frampton. He's till rockin' on the road 40 years later.

  • Failed band Humble Pie? Wow what an asshole you are.

  • and today...he is touring By Marco R. della Cava, USA TODAY

  • The 70's and 90's trump the rest of the shiot!

  • God this crowd should have been dead. Might as well be.

  • @dadwit4shorties If I remember the crowds on the Midnight Special were expected to keep it down and stay out of the cameras. The advertisers wanted hear the music not a bunch of screaming fans.

  • Is this the same 1954 Les Paul they recently found after it was lost in the 1980 cargo plane wreck?

  • @bluesplecre Wasn't a bit Frampton fan when this was new (just another guy from a failed band/Humble Pie) but, you don't hear anything like this coming out now. Damn, this is even better now.

  • @bluesplecre Yes it is.

  • Midnight Special was notorious for screwing audio. Sometimes when it seems the audience is not into it, it's because some dumbass forgot to level up the two sliders on the console...lol

  • does anyone know if thats the Gibson Guitar that was found after 30 + years???

  • @soundgardenjamz Yes, it is that same guitar.

  • What a lackluster crowd. Compare to the live version... nothing like it.

  • Woke up this mornin' just the other day.

  • crickey - brings back memories of listening to this in 1978

  • omg he was sexy

  • HE ROCKS

  • The GREATEST rock and roll song of all time! Also the best album for cleaning pot!

  • The GREATEST rock and roll song of all time!

  • classic

  • I find it funny how mellow the crowd is. But its expected being a TV they did an appearance on. Legends!!

  • nice vid quality
