when you drill your thumb hole put the thumb size drill in and then when its all lined up take the drill out,put in 1 1/8,1 1/4, or 1 3/8 drill, drill the hole,take out drill bit,put glue inside hole start the slug in the hole and take another slug put on top of slug going into ball and between the chuck on the drill and use the handle for leverage and the slug will slide right in,then put the thumb hole size back in and drill the hole into slug,thumb will be right in the middle of slug
