I think I paid $5.00 just for the station. There is a whistle, in the station, works too. I'd like to post some photos but not sure how to. I also have an American Flyer set that my mother, god rest her soul, bought for $50.00. Cost me $75.00 to have the motor cleaned and original wheels replaced. Santa didn't bring me the video camara I asked for, but what's a 53 year old kid to do!

I have the same station but it's missing the chimney and paint job is not as nice.
Does you whistle still work on it?

Hey Marty, Thanks for asking.
I got the station, with the track & switches in an old Marx set at an estate auction. Everything was like new, no rust or damage, looks like it was never used. Though I haven't hooked it up (the Lionel whisling tender on the track works fine) I have no doubt the station works like new. BTW, I paid a grand total of $5.00 for that Marx set. I don't run the train from the set, it still has the original plastic film covering it. - pretty cool huh?
