Realizing that it is evidence of employee status does not mean it is used as an identity card. It is evidence that you have an account, with a number and can use it to secure benefits, which are only available to those with a SIN and all of them are employees of the federal government by virtue of that number. It is not an identity card, but it can be used to identify not the bearer but their right to certain services and benefits. It is a matter of CONTEXT don'tcha know.

@ 3:33 it says SIN means you're employed by the government......that needs to be corrected.
If you look on the back of the SIN card it states - THIS CARD IS NOT AN IDENTITY CARD.
So why are you people treating it as such?
