Consoles yes it is the best fps shooter in my opinion on home systems. It has a lot of bigs bit the overall experience can't be beat. I'd play it over Battlefield any day.

@flamablechips It's BFBC2, a little slower, without destruction, one shot kills, command over a battalion of soldiers, and slow paced ambush like game play depending on how you play. I have never encountered a glitch in this game. look up gameplay videos, this game is awesome in my opinion for what it tries to do, don't expect CoD unrealisticness. yes that isn't a word but it's easier to say then to explain CoD lol.

@papersplease The funny thing is they have coded all these vehicles so you can drive them, its just the game doesnt allow you to drive them unless you on PC. Which then you get a mission editor.
@Jameseos I bought the game a few days ago on Steam for $5. Do you have to download the editor seperately? I hope there are tons of good user made campaigns available because I am disappointed by the original campaign length and lack of variety
@Jameseos unless you do a glitch, for example on the first mission when you get to the first satelite there will be a seahwak landing, take a jeep drive up to the door of the seahawk and it gives you the option to fly it etc...

@Paddtorsk actually the javelin is in the first mission aswell at the top of the hill near the light house (you need to be doing secondary objectives to use it)...also the WZ10 and AH-1Z are in the game if you by the DLC add ons in the mission 'Island Tour'
the Z-10 helo, AH-1Z helo arent in the actual game. Oh wait they are but THEY ONLY KILL YOU FROM THE SKY. The radar/missile truck you cant drive either. Its a lot of dissapointmets in this game. The javelin is only appearing in the last mission of the campain ONE TIME for an example.
I bought this game for the Xbox and it really disappointed me. Flashpoint elite was FAR better in every way except looks this game looks amazing. And half these vehicles aren't in game. :(

well I was stuck with this game because Arma 2 didn't go for the consoles, but instead it was real good. Although I would still rather have Arma 2, I was really entertained by the hardass missions that took me hours to complete(except the spec ops missions, those were pretty easy to me). I didn't really experience any of those bugs that people are bitchin about, except the ones on when the Ai just looks like they want to die( not As Intelligent).But if I was the critics, 9.5/10.
I have finished the game (and I loved it), but the only vehicles that I have DRIVEN is the jeep and a transport helicopter. Where do you get to DRIVE the attack helicopters and the Abrams tank and the boats and stuff?
in the PC version there is a mission editor allowing you to create your own missions and use weapons and vehicles you cannot see in the campaign the reason it is not on the xbox 360 is because the box might not handle the editor and/or if we dont have an editor codemasters can charge for new missions (likely the latter) hope I helped
@George050593 You can go in the abrams tank in the final mission which u can use to make it easier to destroy the AAs in the start. The rest of the vehicles is mostly seen but just to far away to drive them. Though, it is possible.

Agreed. The developers were very brave making a war sim for the console. Since everyone is used to cod and arade type shooters. I bet the people who dislike this game were the ones trying to run n gun. Sure there are some glitches and bugs. I still find it enjoyable. The Co op is still very fun. And OPF2 is different. Its the only game that doesn't glorify war. One wrong move n ur team is dead. Thats the reason why i like this game so much.

Yes, well how would you be able to use the map editor on console, most of it is scripting and typing, which on a console is very difficlt to do alot of lines of scripts.
Also, for the type of game it is, it actually has very little bugs and glitches, think of origonal flashpoints and arma's.
the campaign for ofp 2 it is nothing like the 1st one an that is where they have gone wrong the campaign in ofp was not just u a soldier on foot u commanded tank platoons or helicopters an u got to use all these different vehicles in the 2nd one it always seemed u were being pushed away from the few vehicle sections but still a good game its just got a few kinks
that is the thing with trying to make a game not only for the consoles but also mainstream. Operation Flashpoint was a masterpiece for its time. OPF2 had huge shoes to fill and it failed because it tried to go too mainstream but I agree with you saying that it is still fun to play as long as you don't expect it to be as complete as the original was.
ARMA2 is the game you want if it is military simulation you want. And 2010 the expansion Operation Arrowhead will arrive with VBS2 features (Engine of ARMA and what the real militaries around the world are using to train).

the only way to do it on the xbox is to buy the map pack which gives you free roam but there are still some vehicles which you dont get to drive :(

@George050593 You can go in the abrams tank in the final mission which u can use to make it easier to destroy the AAs in the start. The rest of the vehicles is mostly seen but just to far away to drive them. Though, it is possible.

wow this is totally rad its always played frequently during the holidays with my mum she is totally awesome at it. I managed to get the game absolutely free for my ps3 from here; one blow . com they have thousands and the best thing is they are all free oh btw 1:20 2 3:50 was superb

Must say this is very cool its always played a lot during the summer with my aunts they are really awesome at it. I managed to download it absolutely free for my sony ps3 from; 115 games. c o m they have literally hundreds and the best thing is they are all free too oh i almost forgot 2:24 - 3:44 was top notch

Agreed. The developers were very brave making a war sim for the console. Since everyone is used to cod and arade type shooters. I bet the people who dislike this game were the ones trying to run n gun. Sure there are some glitches and bugs. I still find it enjoyable. The Co op is still very fun. And OPF2 is different. Its the only game that doesn't glorify war. One wrong move n ur team is dead. Thats the reason why i like this game so much.

unless they patched it last time i went on, the just bounce, and i mean they are like a basketball. This game is worth about £19 in my eyes. ArmA 2 will always beat this game.

Yes, well how would you be able to use the map editor on console, most of it is scripting and typing, which on a console is very difficlt to do alot of lines of scripts.
Also, for the type of game it is, it actually has very little bugs and glitches, think of origonal flashpoints and arma's.

the campaign for ofp 2 it is nothing like the 1st one an that is where they have gone wrong the campaign in ofp was not just u a soldier on foot u commanded tank platoons or helicopters an u got to use all these different vehicles in the 2nd one it always seemed u were being pushed away from the few vehicle sections but still a good game its just got a few kinks

that is the thing with trying to make a game not only for the consoles but also mainstream. Operation Flashpoint was a masterpiece for its time. OPF2 had huge shoes to fill and it failed because it tried to go too mainstream but I agree with you saying that it is still fun to play as long as you don't expect it to be as complete as the original was.

ARMA2 is the game you want if it is military simulation you want. And 2010 the expansion Operation Arrowhead will arrive with VBS2 features (Engine of ARMA and what the real militaries around the world are using to train).
