  • I assume the CPU was made by Cyberdyne Systems. Skynet has become self-aware, for like the third time.

  • Wall-E just got Upgraded.

  • they should name the project sky net just to fuck with people :D

  • This is how it all starts robots will rule the world

  • SKYNET is here

  • Hello Skynet, my killer kinnect machine keeps targeting the neighbors cat

  • Lets put a laser on its head! :D

  • next stop: MANHACKS!!

  • A MARINE CYPHER T !?

  • @halmousa91 A HIND D?!?

  • cracked!

  • anybody else think it's adorable like a puppy? the way it stops and stares in amazing wonderment

  • Step 2, have it create it's own waypoints through space around obstacles.

  • truly amazing

  • Judgement Day is getting closer and closer...

  • can't game developers hire one of this (many) guys hacking kinect, and make a game that actually works ?

  • @Soyuzberto

    They're working on it.

  • Next step: duck tape a Glock to that thing and see how well it pulls of headshots.

  • @YOUSUCK242 good job at stealing this from cracked. Why don't you come up with your own material.

  • @ducktape187 Good job at being a total douchebag. I try to be original and quote something from Cracked.com instead of writing "cracked" like everybody else and you come up here saying "Quoting Cracked is idea stealing!".

  • @YOUSUCK242

nice job cutting and pasting word for word from cracked. Couldn't think of a witty line yourself?

  • @NoamTube nice job at giving a fuck. Seriously you must either be a total douchebag or somebody with no life if you actually care whether I quote cracked or not.

  • @YOUSUCK242

just giving credit where it's due you no talent shitfuck.

  • @NoamTube Oh boohoo I quoted from a comedy website! This is the greatest sin ever and I will get ass raped by a giraffe with my head stuck in the asshole of a squirrel in hell!

Don't care what you think. I live in a country where I can say whatever I want, be it quoting or not. Now go suck a pandas dick.

  • @YOUSUCK242

Ye, it's not really quoting unless you show that. Sounds like now you're stealing from the Angry Video Game Nerd, James Rolfe. Do you even have your own personality? Or do you just copy others all the time.

    You'd make a good parrot.

  • @NoamTube who the fuck is james rolfe? And if you interpret things as stealing when I am quoting that is your problem, not mine. I can write whatever I want and if I wanna share a line from Cracked with the YouTube community I am allowed to do that. And if you don't like it you should go back to receiving anal sex from a penguin.

  • Too bad Mircrosoft Cannot create something this cool with their own product. Instead we are stuck with Kinect Sports. Great Job!

  • I think it would have been a lot lighter to remote all but necessary circuit boards from the kinect.

  • I can see this becoming one of those things in Half-life 2 that follow you and take pictures

  • @shield543 totally.. new world order tech... take a piss in an alley and this thing flys up and fines you 500 dollars

    fuck the new world order

  • The robot POV blew my mind away.

  • i would buy that for 700$.

  • @Blittzo Good luck!

  • is there a place where we could learn more about how it works?

  • i can imagine that trumpet orchestra at the start when the kinect pops up *bahhh bababahhh bahh bahh bababahhh bahhh bahhh bababaHHH BAHHH BAAH BUP BAH BAHHH lol hard to improvise in text lol, hope u guys know the song in ur head. :S

  • @david1991rules4life was that dubstep?

  • @roidroid i am not sure, 8 months ago, i wud've had teh song in my head but can't describe now since i forgot :S

  • that robot is awesome! I could never ever do something like that.

  • Wow Just... Wow

  • What is the "on-board 1.6 GHz Intel Atom based computer" ?

  • add some mini guns and BAM mw3 with ai robots lol

  • One $350,000,000 fighter bomber or a swarm of 350,000 autonomous flying robots?

I think the choice is quite clear.

  • @abram730

Stealth tech / low visibility / speed / maneuvarability / less fragility and danger to a jet. A swarm of these would be down with 1 or 2 shoulder mounted fly-by-wire rpgs.

  • @Ansatsunin Speed and fragility maybe, but you can't get more stealthy or low visibility than something the size of a bird flying low. After all, that's basically what the much vaunted stealth tech does; decreases the radar silhouette so that it's likely to be filtered out as a bird or something.

A swarm could only be downed by a RPG if they were all packed together and didn't bother getting out of the way. Neither seems a likely use case.

  • @Ansatsunin Depends on how strong these things are and how dense the swarm is. An RPG would only kill the ones in its blast radius, shrapnel would get the ones right outside of the radius, but the ones further out would just be knocked around by the shockwave (if the internal components were strong enough to stay together). But against a swarm something like flak would probably be a better option.

  • @abram730 goddamnit.. thinking like that is gonna transform the Matrix from a sci-fi trilogy to a prophecy

  • @abram730 Not exactly. Your saying 350,000 little flying things would get something done? The robot in this video could do almost nothing. If we up the budget to 10,000$ per robot and have 35,000 your idea is still silly. The robots would just fly around (if we attached weapons) killing people without distinction of whether they are enemies or not. As an amazing Fighter Bomber could blow up lots of shit. Also where do you get the idea that a fighter bomber costs $350,000,000?

  • @QuestH123 Why do you think there would be no distinction? That is silly.

The f22 cost $361 million per aircraft, I rounded it down to 350 million.

  • @abram730 Because distinction would cost alot to have the robots know who the hell is who.

  • @QuestH123 A human would be in the loop for distinction. Possible threats would be brought to the attention of an operator, other operators would search the data in 3D. They are just ROV's with autonomous functions at this point. A mobile super computer with a satellite link up would handle the magic($1,000 per teraflop soon to be $500).

With time more autonomous functionality can be added. Complete situational awareness for the cost of 1 f-22.

  • @abram730

I doubt this machine is worth $350k, it probably only cost a couple of thousands at most. and my guess would be around 700 dollars, well at least it would be if it was homemade.

  • @id493337 No read it again.. I said a swarm of 350,000 units thus at a cost of $1000 per unit.

  • @abram730 Fighter bomber, is that some sort of new aircraft I'm unaware of or did you just pull that out of your ass. (Rhetorical question)

  • @BigGunz357 One $361,000,000 F-22 Raptor or a swarm of 350,000 autonomous flying robots?

    better?

  • @abram730

That raptor but I bet the 350k would work better as cameras and peace keeping then the raptor. When I say peace keeping I don't mean it does something itself but if it catch a crime it would automatically call the police.

  • @id493337 mapping and surveillance to start but it's only a matter of time before somebody arms them.

    Aggressive Quadrotors

    watch?v=rktA6Oe5OF0

    watch?v=S-dkonAXOlQ

    construction with Quadrotors

    watch?v=W18Z3UnnS_0

  • @BigGunz357 google "fighter bomber"

  • @roidroid Yeah, I really don't need to. The first letter of an aircraft identification shows its mission, such as F for fighter, B for bomber, C for cargo, K for refueler, and A for attack. I have never in my life heard of an FB-XXX. Yeah, fighters can drop bombs, but they're still fighters.

  • @BigGunz357 lol

  • @abram730 except a swarm of 350k flying robots couldn't carry anything but a firecracker

  • @CaptainRon1913 They could carry a very small caliber, yet high velocity gun.

    20mm tube launched grenade

    A small missile / bomb.

They carry more weight as a group.

    watch?v=YBsJwapanWI

  • @abram730 I doubt they could carry much more than a few ounces of payload. Batteries last about 10 minutes? Would be cool, but these won't amount to anything substantial other than close combat surveillance.

Contrast to a B2, that can fly 6000 miles non-stop and carry a 70,000 lb payload.

  • @CaptainRon1913 20-25 min unloaded, about 10-15 min loaded with 7-8oz.

This being a scout size. a single shot 20mm airburst would do the job.

I've seen the larger ones lift 5 pounds, although it looked over loaded. For swarms you'd base them on a vehicle with servers, networking, satlink and an automated battery swap, arming station. The construction ability is important because of that need for support infrastructure.

  • @CaptainRon1913 uh, no man. 350,000 of these robots could carry a combined total of 175 tons of explosive.

They carry half a kilo of payload each. EACH!

Half a kilo of explosive will fuck prettymuch anything up.

  • @roidroid I don't believe they could carry 1 lb of anything. Plus range is about 10 minutes, plus the logistics of launching a few hundred let alone 350,000 is not going to happen.

  • @CaptainRon1913 "i don't believe".

the wonderful thing about evidence, is that you don't need faith either way. It's right there in the quadrotor's official specs

  • @roidroid The wonderful thing about being pragmatic and logical is realizing something like this can't possibly have a 1 lb payload. I looked up the specs, and here they are. Cut and pasted... (250grams is about 8.8 oz.)

Weight(including the battery and the electronics) 1.25 Kg

Battery time while hovering 15 min (150W power consumption)

    Payload about 250 g

Dimensions almost square with sides of 0.5m

Radio communication range 150m indoor, 800m outdoor

  • @CaptainRon1913 Uuh no, what you have just done there is googled some random Texan university's quadrotor project. What's wrong with you. The quadrotor in THIS video is called the "AscTec Pelican" and here are the spec's from the company's website: max speed 50 km/h max windload 36 km/h max flight time 20 mins GPS aided MEMS Gyro Sensors 2 x ARM7 micro processor Modular tower design Suitable for ATOM processor board 500g Payload
  • @roidroid All due respect, which you seem to have none of, the 500g payload is a base machine. Add the "box" (or any other sensor system) which Berkley has in this video, you have virtually 0 payload left. Doesn't matter which quadrotor your talking about.

  • @CaptainRon1913 In the 1960s some fullsized quadrotor aircraft were constructed that could carry half a ton of payload each.

I mean, since it apparently doesn't matter which quadrotor we're talking about (!?)

  • SSSSSSSSSSKYNET....XD

  • don't worry guys ...robots wont be able to harm us.....unless we want them to... they can not figure out on their own that they have to harm us to get us out of the way(i hope i am right here)....but off course we want them to harm our enemies...we have fought throughout history....and we have used every means at our disposal to kill humans... so yeah..maybe drones that can fly and kill on their own will be put to use...

  • battery life = 30 seconds

  • hehê_i_fËÊl_sÒ_lÕNÉlÿ_tÕDåy

  • it like the robots off star wars

  • Shut the fuck up @yaosio

  • Hi, this is unauthorized use of technology, you are being sued by the RIAA as we speak.

  • @yaosio hey fag he bought it hes not selling it stop acting like a 9 year old girl

  • the Skynet first HK-DRONE model

  • any plans to put it to use in rescue or exploration operations?

  • i;d like to know where you got the plastic enclosure for the propellers. would you mind sharing? thanks! it's for the sake of safety

  • Its too passive. Try programming it to shoot obstacles to get through waypoints faster.

  • ROXBR JOINHA AEWW

    selling Kinect please look

  • now this is pretty kool

  • I think I just totally had a nerdgasum!

  • This reminds me of manhacks from HL2 XD

  • @NORTONcro Watch out! soon you will see kinect chasing you with sawblades ;D

  • OMG Skynet is rising

  • OMG Awesome!

  • OMG Awesome!

  • Garry's mod in real life :D

  • Kinect: The world's only flying game peripheral!

  • the futur of real quiddich... or whatever that harry potter flying game is called.

  • Where are the lasers????????????!!!!!!!!! =D

  • nice! curious on how you got the kinect to work without power plug?

  • @kikkoR2G the xbox 360 slim only powers the kinect with the usb so it might use that :D

  • You better hope it never becomes self-aware.

  • Don't be too proud of this technological terror you've constructed. The ability to destroy a planet, or even a whole system, is insignificant next to the power of the Force.

  • SCANNING FOR JOHN CONNOR

  • @mechan9

    ROFL

  • if I ever, EVER see one anywhere near my house, imma take a crowbar to it and become a Luddite. freaking manhacks are real now...

  • @Exarian Soon they'll be making rollermines, then we're in deep shit

  • you can make auto cars with this stuff :|

  • I've seen the future and it is AWESOME.

  • in Soviet Russia, kinect would fuckin shoot the damn obstacle, not pausing like a little girl

  • @J0Bang Thats why the soviet union doesnt exist anymore

  • @ferdinand7004 less cylon, more toaster

  • @siaic now i know what a crackpot i sound like. they're already growing teeth much sooner that i expected, but not soon enough.. i guess ill get a bluetooth for the time being.. seriously :D

  • It kinda says "ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US"

  • Nice !

  • *cough*Move*cough*can't*cough*do*cough*this

  • Isn't making it FLY kinda overkill? You could demonstrate the same thing with rolling.

  • don't they have problem in trying to turn it off....... you know it's running away and people try to catch it.

  • @nutkong1, omg u think they can't stop it remotely? LOL

  • @Rolfstunner Yes of course it was :-)

  • @Rolfstunner Ok I'll leave it to the mind readers to understand which comments (out of the ones I posted on this video) that you are reffering to.

  • @Rolfstunner I love it when people aren't clear in what they’re referring too. Guess I'll do the same...

Terrible yesterday wasn't it - all them people. Yes they were foolish :-)

  • RP-XD Ready for deployment

  • @Rolfstunner of course it was what?

  • this would be great technology to create cars that drive themselves or vehicles for the blind.

  • in 15 years this is going to be used by the US army to kill muslims...

  • @matrixbadger9 in 15 years the whole world will be muslim or most of it

  • @N1SNM hey idiot just cause were doing interesting stuff doesnt mean theyll have time to take over there not ready for a full scale invasion and they wont be in the future think of it all the millatries in the world vs teroists they dont have a prayer

  • @phoenix5004 what are you talking about

  • Go to the address bar and type "gift" just before YouTube!

  • What we need now is the program that detects the user's face and follows him around

  • What they didnt show in termninator movies logo of the company creating robots and its Microsoft !! i knew this will kill us one daY

  • Skynet?

  • damn that kinect vision gave me flashes of the terminator vision for picking targets. we're in the shit now guys! im pretty sure its programmed to destroy Sony products...for now...

  • @shanus11 *cough* fanboy *cough* *cough* :)

  • @shanus11 Shit just got REAL, man.

  • What do u use to make it float? Air? Or what?

  • @Licmycat Nope, bricks.

  • @Licmycat maybe just go back to licking your cat for now....

  • @Licmycat I think the clue is in 'Quadrotor'.....

  • @thewiseowl O-ThXs. They must be awfully small not to be able to see them. Interesting...

  • I think Lost In Space had one of these... ;^)

    - cool satellite view of earth; Balkingpoints / www

  • at 0:48 seconds mind = blown

  • Did anybody else think of metal gear solid when u saw this?

  • screw guard dogs, i'm gonna get one of these and attach a machine gun, and instead of pausing when sensing an obstacle, it will shoot

  • watch "scaring my dad so bad" its actually hilarious i just found it

  • fluentiz

  • I hope Microsoft decides to do XNA support for Kinect. Heck - I'll go out and buy one of they do that. I'd love to play around with one to see what I could make it do.

  • wow that was amazing LOL what would happen next?

  • why my dumb ass skool caint make shit like this

  • @MoCityEsCrew Cause dumbass school got people not use grammar right like you.

  • It begins... Humanity is so screwed.

  • this is on;y cool if your gay and all.

  • What you didn't see is the guy holding a baseball bat ready to destroy the Kinect when it turns on it's creators.

  • @PatchesDaHamstr

Oh geez, those guys better not turn this into something bigger, this could be the Begining of SkyNet!

  • @PatchesDaHamstr ya, and how do you think the qadcopter will be able to kill the dude, run into him?

  • I love the part were you reverse the video to make it look like it landing. ;)

  • /watch?v=5xj9BuN8ViI

  • Sometimes we invent something for a particular reason and others find a better use for it. The Kinect is one of those inventions. All the games look dead awful, but some of these hacks are crazy good. And even if every single game fails to make a dime, the patents royalties from these other uses (when they go commercial) will more than make up the R&D cost.

  • If this is what some college students with off-the-shelf hardware and video game toy hardware can do... imagine what kind of stuff the U.S. Military has that is totally classified. I would love to see 20 or 30 year old classified technology. I want to see what our tax-payer money has been spent on.

  • Kinect is gonna take over the world

  • People are doing mad shit with the Kinect

  • @Rolfstunner Your thought not mine.
