The last thing that ever went on in that club we're walking into (CBGB's) was raves. There were some candy-kids who went to UGC from time to time, but the bulk of our ministry was at concerts and shows and the like.

But do tell me, what's so inherently wrong about going to a rave?

The general term "rave" indicates loud music and mind-altering drugs like ecstasy and mushrooms, as well as "secret rooms" used for sex and drug use/purchasing.

If it's just a concert at a club with loud music and lights, it's not really a rave. If the definition of rave is different for you, I can understand but if you think the former is perfectly fine I think you should re-evaluate your walk with Jesus :-)

Mmm... yes, I think I do have a different understanding about what things are essential to have a rave. I've been to several in my time, and the only thing that was absolutely necessary at any of them were the DJs, sound systems, and lighting.

Granted, that's not really my scene, and the drug abuse and lust associated with the events are nothing that I smile upon. Thanks for clearing up your position a bit at least.
