I am a huge Madonna fan but this is really bad. S&S was two hours of Madonna slaughtering her classics with generic dance versions and aerobics (in addition to the sub-par songs from Hard Candy). I hope that for the next tour she will be more inspired because this is just cheap (even though it's impressive on a physical level)

@moahmedish no I didn't hear that demo! is it on youtube? And yes the black was boring, although look hgow amazing it was on the confessions tour!! it was regal and beautiful, elegant. The clothes of sticky and sweet were horrendous, specially the first and last outfit, the most important and they were the worst. so ugly, so very anti-Madonna.

@moahmedish tell me about it, I mean she followed that amazing Future Lovers intro(her best yet) with that Candy Shop performance, which was amazing for the mini promo tour but not for the big tour, it was terrible, considering the tour that preceeded it. And yes a lot of money was used but it still looked cheap as hell. Sticky and Sweet has by far the worst costumes Madonna has worn on stage, I mean they were terrible!!! Where was the design?? they looked like bad halloween costumes!!

@LaSerpentaCanta I think part of the reason for this is that Confessions tour was reflective of the album, which was a serious and well orchestrated piece. The outfits match those tones/themes well. Since the Hard Candy album was light hearted, the clothing was a tad less serious consequently. The gaudy clothing in the Sticky and sweet tour reflected the fact that this was Madonna's first POP concert. Her previous tours were more along the lines of a serious theatre.

@chefboyardeeman Madonna's first pop concert? that is a naive assesment to be honest, what about the virgin tour? is that not a pop concert?? all of her shows are pop concerts, with maybe the exception of Drowned World Tour, which incidentily didn't really match the albums the songs where from, stylistically speaking, at leas the ray of light part, and the costumes were flawless. Sticky and Sweet was a low point in everyway, what's wrong with accepting it? it's the truth.

The Sticky and Sweet tour is Madonna's only bad show, I know she made a whole lot of money with it, and it's the most succesful tour of all time but it's surprising that Madonna toured with this horrible show for TWO YEARS!! so lame. Everything about it is bad, she looks terrible in it, the costumes were horrible the arrangements sucked, the choreography was horrible, the stage uninspired, the setlist sucked, I mean everything, it has no redeeming qualities.

The DVD was filmed at the December 2008 Buenos Aires show on the first leg of the S&S tour. This video is from the second leg of the tour, I believe from one of the London July 2009 shows. She tweaked the set list a bit on the second leg and at the time she filmed the DVD she may not have had plans to do a second leg. This is the first time I know of that Madonna had ever extended a tour like that.
