I'm still trying to figure out what Commissioner Gordon is saying at 0:43. Anyway, this scene ends differently than the version I saw back in 1976. Just at the point where Gordon says "You may not!" he then stated: "... defame the dynamic duo even by implication. They are the guardian angels of this city. Those two masked figures. Those two voices on the telephone." And he didn't get the call from Batman.
The police have helped Batman from time to time? Well, so far I count maybe three occasions where they've shown up AFTER Batman and Robin have beaten everyone else to a pulp, once when B&R were trapped in a giant book which they managed to get themselves out of..... and that's about it at this point in time. anyone else got a better count?
I love how O'Hara turns on Batman because he hasn't called in 10 minutes.....O'Hara says that his squads have helped Batman time to time - well, that was nice of them...If I was Batman I'd tell them all where to go....
I have been waiting for a long time to see this one again - about 30 years! I once had a coloring book with the Minstrel as the villain, and I never realized he was actually in the show until years later! Thanks!

*whew* For a minute there I thought Chief O'Hara and Commisioner Gordon were going to get a divorce. Way to wave the olive branch, Batman.
