Served at RAF Coltishall on both 41 (F) and 54 (F) Squadrons 1986-1989 with tours at Bardufoss, Tirstrip and Deci, then reunited in Bahrain in 1990, best years of my life ........
I loved working on these wonderful aircraft, it was such a sad day when they retired, I still miss them to this day. I was on 41(F) Sqn for 3 and a half years and miss it dearly.
Wonderful clip! The RAF Jags were by far the most advanced around. France JAG´s were/are still with 50/60 vintage equipment. Almost no upgrade or modification. We had RAF Jaguars earmarked to Tirstrup Airbase here in Denmark in event of war, so we often had the Jaugar in danish air space. Sadly no more. Beautiful plane.
Such a shame, they are gone. only worked with the Jag and it's ground crews for 4 months but what a joy and a great aircraft. " brown you aint getting my vote you have wrecked our armed forces. "
this countries government is a bloody discrace! save money on keeping the jaguars in the air and spend the money on asylum centres instead or some other pointlesss shit!!
hello mate i am with you on this gordon brown and his clowns are complete tossers spendig our money on asylum centres for freeloaders from hell holes the world over while our airforce army navy has cuts forced upon them brown you are a wanker i wouldnt vote for that shit ever keep our airforce pen pushers from downing street i hope the bastards read this
I totally agree with your comments too, did you know recently one of our navy ships, HMS Endurance was almost lost in an acident and instead of replacing her with another ship which would only cost 300 million or (10 MP's expences for a year) they are going to rent a ship instead because it's cheaper!
I was stationed in the UK for several years at Lakenheath, and I loved it when one would, on occasion, fly in. What a great looking jet. Even with the gears down, it was mean as hell looking.
Cheers back to you! Hey, if you've got a moment, can you, if you know, tell me what is housed in that long horizontal piece near the top of the tail? I've always wondered about that.
@tails12993 Out of the 178, they are bringing back about 30 but these will be ground taxing trainers at Cranwell and are never to take to the skies again
What a pity...I have grown with the Cat. It was sad to see it go like that.
