  • lol invisible refugee.. did you watch the movie?

You should watch the movie or documentary on him.

I am am curious why you think he is a jerk though.

  • You think I didn't watch the movie. I watched it in 2001 and it was one of the main inspirations for me to go into the medical field myself. That's where I found out that the medical field is anything but medical and hopelessly beyond helping. 3 years later I ended up coming to the Gesundheit Institute. It was exactly the opposite of what it was supposedly there for. But that was wholly because of an asshole named Frank (he and his wife Bonnie were running the place at that point)

  • I would rather believe he's not a jerk, but I have seen too much crap and his speech here rings of the all-too-familiar victimization that keeps people in their places: rich people having all the saying to do and poor people are right where they deserve to be... Its like going to Auschwitz and giving a speech on the Jews getting what they had coming for practicing pessimism. Doesn't matter what any given individual had to think, say, or do... a nation not listening

  • It actually makes me sad about Patch, & I would like to believe that he's not the bad one, but the fact that he's in the mix with a group like NAMI is a dead give away that another inspiring grassroots organization is now defunct... if after all these years he is rubbing elbows with people in the medical field and not violently opposed to it, you got to kind of wonder how sincere he is or is he just a sellout... wish I could talk to him myself, but his pitbull Frank is in the way...

  • Oh, and only a judgemental prick would have given the first comments I made a thumbs-down, whoever you are out there... showing YOUR true colors - feels good to be better than other people, doesn't it?

  • Don't lose your faith.

I'm sure Patch si a good man and he wants what's right.

  • why?

  • People always are deciding how they want to react to certain situations. We are all doing the best we can with what we have. We are all trying to focus on solutions, that's the only reason anyone looks at the problem. All this positive thinking talk is horribly damaging to people who have already been tortured - then being invalidated for "having" a problem - (being given one) there are no social problems in the Utopia States of America - only "personal" problems. Change the world, mm hmm.

  • @InvisibleRefugee
