the best advice that was ever given to me was to find the beat. start with the hi hats. start simple, get used to that beat no matter how boring it is, then build your beat from that. add in the snare next, then the kick. once you get that down good add in the fills. feel the music. and by all means listen to the song you're doing over and over. listen to little details and mimick that sound you hear. then you can add your own stuff to it. when i first uploaded my video i had audio/video sync problems too.. what worked for me was converting the video to the windows media video format before uploading it.. its worth a shot

Could you tell me what are the advantages and differences to using Coated drum heads on all drums instead of clear heads? Im quite new to drumming having only been playing for 2 months.

i personally like a recorded drum sound live. the coated heads offer a warmer deeper sound, plus they look cool on some drum kits. you'll find pro drummers that use these as well. it was just a personal choice b/c of the depth in my drums i desired. thanx for watching. hope this helps. I took your advice and looked at this one... pretty awesome. Another great job. What you may want to try to do (I'm not pretending to act like an expert, I'm by far no means anything close) but in my experience with mixing track to video (if posting to YT) try a .45 sec delay on the vid. That is, start mixing the track .45 sec sooner than the video starts.
