Cat's not evil... She's probably angry because you're petting her wrong. Cats often don't like to be petted on the head from the front because they think they might be hit. The hand is the enemy to them - you're toying with the cat.

I have a cat who's the same. They just have preferences in how to be petted. They don't know how to tell you it's wrong so they hiss.

My cats love it when I pet them on thier head :) They're both very sweet, like my cat Comet has never hissed, scratched, or bitten anyone. Her daughter Arial though has her father in her and only loves me, lol so my brothers are all afraid of her!

I grew up with many many cats and still have quite a few to this day and I've never found that to be particularly true, not unless they're angry anyway.

My cats have all been pretty spoilt though.

Depends on the cat - and the cat's breed. i have a Chartreux and they're extremely gentle cats. So she doesn't mind where she's petted. On the other hand another cat of mine, her breed is known for temper problems, so she does mind.

The cat in the video, she's probably acting that way because of her breed - not because she hates the camera-man.

My cats are spoiled too. ^_^

@SukineKira Cats are bred to have certain temperaments. It's often advised to have cats as a pet based on what breed they are and who they are compatible with and what the best environment is. Some breeds do better with children, some are more sociable while others prefer to be alone, etc.. Probably the same is true with dogs and their various breeds, but I'm no dog expert. :P

Cats seem to have really complex personalitites. I've never had 2 cats that were exactly the same and I've had many of them. The oldest one lived to be about 11 and she would've lived even longer had she not gotten run over. Poor thing, I still feel bad, even though it's been at least 5 years.

Anyway, I have heard this before, and based on my own experiences, I believe it to be true. Kittens should be handled and petted by humans when they are young in order to have a kinder more gentle cat.

@QuietCannon Exactly my thoughts when I'm watching the majority of these "evil cat" videos. I know I used to have to keep away from my mom's cat because as soon as I got near her she would try to scratch me and would growl... She doesn't do that anymore, and has taken a liking to me since my mom's absence... but now she'll do the whole scratch and growl rigamorole to my dad. Some cat's just like one person more than others... and dislike other people :/
