His interpretation pleases me.

La voce è tipica da tenore leggero in certi momenti un po' metallica.

Facilmente sale sugli acuti (il lato più poositivo secondo me) mentre deboli sono le basse anche quando l'orchestra tace.

Lega bene i fiati e appare molto sicuro musicalmente.

@palymusic Stiamo parlando di Juan Diego Florez non di un tenore qualsiasi. Ovvio che essendo un tenore leggero i centri ed i registri gravi non potranno mai essere pieni come quelli di un baritono. Le zone gravi le risolve semplicemente appoggiando bene e schiarendo. Ho conosciuto personalmente Juan Diego e posso affermare che la sua bravura e capacità di intuizione, non assolutamente istintiva, supera di gran lunga qualsiasi altro cantante pur bravo che sia. Impara tutto e in fretta!mostruoso

Rinuccio suits Florez's voice well (he can "ping" those top notes very nicely), and he could probably manage Ruggiero in "La Rondine," but I wouldn't want to hear him sing any of the heavier Puccini tenor roles.

Everytime I hear this aria, at the point where the "O mio babbino caro" theme comes, I think I see the bell tower of Giotto on a sunny summer midday just in front of me. This is really just half the aria by the way...

This is NOT the whole aria; trust me, I've sung it. It's missing the entire second half, where Rinuccio talks about Florence, and compares Schicchi to experts of the arts.

Not to mention it's missing one of the best lines in the opera: <i> "Viva la gente nova e Gianni Schicchi! " </i>"Long live the newcomers and Gianni Schicchi!"
